Sitting down beside Sara Kelly ran her finger through the dirt as she waited for her to answer, apprehensive about the girl due to the vest she wore Kelly kept her gaze to the ground and brought her other arm up to cover her blind eye in case she needed to guard herself from the girl. While she trusted that she wasn't anywhere near as bad as some of the other bikers she had seen roaming around the fact she wore the vest sent a certain shiver down her spine.
Before long she heard as Sara greeted her and mentioned that they hadn't talked much at the RV, A fact that wasn't odd for Kelly as she had grown far more reserved ever since their run in with Alec and his men. "I'm fine.. Just.. There's too many people around here.. I miss the RV." Kelly answered, her gaze never left the ground as she spoke. Wrapping her arms back around her legs Kelly stole a glance towards Sara as she explained that she wasn't a part of the bikers and that she was just getting friendly with one of them, Furthermore she explained that they weren't all bad, specifically naming someone that went by Troy. Not having the courage or the drive to attempt to be friendly with anyone outside of the RV group or the three girls Kelly had no idea who she was referring to, although if she had to venture a guess it was probably the guy she saw her talking to before coming over.
"A few bad apples spoil the bunch." Kelly responded to her explanation. Looking up to Sara she saw the frown on her face and instantly felt bad about what she had said, For all she knew she could be telling the truth and there were good ones in the bikers, but the fact she hadn't met one yet and the bad memories from their time in Canada forced her to be skeptical. I'm sorry.. That's Unfair of me. I've just had bad experiences with people like that." Kelly said, choosing to not explain further unless she asked she went quiet until she heard Sara speak again, this time mentioning that if anyone ever picked on her to let her know and that she'd take care of it. A small smile formed on Kelly's face from the offer but she wouldn't expect anything of the sort to actually happen. Looking back towards Justin and the others Kelly cursed herself for not allowing Clara to come with her, if she had she could just sit in silence and listen while Clara talked her head off, but of course she had to be tough.
Looking back to Sara she looked at her for a time before she heard her crack a joke about her "scary face." which was little more than her baring her teeth and growling like an angered dog. But it did bring a smile to Kelly's face. Letting the smile fade Kelly decided the girl was safe enough to let herself get a little more comfortable. Scooting closer to her Kelly leaned herself against Sara, her gaze still on the ground.
"People like the bikers terrify me. Because of this.." deciding she could trust Sara enough to show her what the eye patch served to hide Kelly pulled it off and set it in her lap before looking to Sara with her hand still on her eye. Slowly she removed her hand to reveal the large scar that stretched across it as well as the milky white film over her pupal showing that she was blind in it. "We went up to Canada in search of a safe place to live for a bit, which we thought we found but then.. Well, I got captured by this guy named Alec and he liked to hit you if you talked back. Hit you hard."
Going quiet Kelly looked back down to the eye patch in her lap and grabbed a hold of it. Gripping it tightly she looked to the Justin and the others to confirm they were still there. Catching her eye Justin waved in her direction and smiled.
"Justin and Alex fought them to get me back but.. The damage was already done..."
