Hearing the woman begin to answer Joe felt a tinge of annoyance as she started going over all the stuff she couldn't do, Not because she was bringing them to light, but because they were all stuff she very well could do if it wasn't for the fact her voice had decided to take a vacation, Joe bowed her head in defeat as the woman went silent, 'you're right..' She answered in her mind before holding out her hands for her book which she brought to clutch against her chest with the other, she hugged them tight as she realized her past and her strengths meant nothing if she couldn't talk. Joe started to turn to leave when she heard Claudia tell everyone to get out causing her to turn to look back at the woman with her head tilted in a half confused interest. As the last person left and question was posed on whether or not she would speak if tortured a hint of fear for what she had planned crossed her features. 'why?' she asked in her mind as she mouthed the word.
Joe turned back to face her with a cautious interest in her explanation and as her idea unraveled before the redheaded young adult she found a small smile replace the concern on her face. 'Ha! Not useless!' She retorted in her mind as the plan for her to go and become a spy of sorts for the group, The place in question apparently used to be their home before someone took over and ran them out which led her to fully believe what the woman said about him knowing them all, and it was also true that he wuoldn't know her as she never actually made it that far before she was picked up by someone from the camp that acted as her home for the time. Joe pulled open the book again to a back page with no writing and scribbled until her pen began to leave marks. Below the mark she wrote her questions.
"Will I stay in the town? If so how will I get the information out?"
"What do they look like? Marlene and Chloe, What did they generally wear? How did they act?"
"Will I be the only one?"
Deciding to stop there she tore the paper out, tapping the top of it she held the paper out for her to take and as she did Joe waited for answers, the danger of what she was taking on rested in the back of her mind, but saving someone in need wasn't something she was going to shy away from and so as she waited she jotted down her actual answer on the top of a fresh page. "I'll do it."
