Perched on the seat next to her sister Sarah looked around the cabin of the small camper and took note of the certain things as she waited for them to get underway. The disheveled bed sheets on the mattress in the rear, the blankets thrown into a heap at the foot of the elongated couch on which the young girl and Justin sat, Near the front where Alexandra were scattered markings of the previous owner, cigarette butts, The smoke stained carpetting giving it a yellowish hue to the rest of the camper told her that he mostly stayed in the front, separated from the rest. Seeing Justin Stand and make his way towards the front after Alex called about getting the "Sargent's" opinion on the matter of them staying it all clicked to her, to an extent at least.
"Sargent." She mouthed as the man passed and they instinctively came to attention upon hearing mention of a higher rank. "Sir." they both said with a nod towards him as he made his way towards the drivers area. After he was away from the girl and she now sat alone for the time Sarah turned her attention to her. Fearah was the one to speak however as Sarah had always found it hard to speak to people of her own age range, only when she was greeted with military personeel such as their father was she able to bypass this awkward fear. "Hey! Whats up?" Fearah called as they both looked in her direction, "What's your name?" She asked the girl before looking to her sister, She could tell that she wanted to know as well, even if she couldn't bring herself to ask.
"Kelly" The young girl responded to the question, "You guys talk like you're military like Justin and Valentina, But you can't be more than a few years older than me at that. Why?" The girl asked curiously, Fearah couldn't help but let a laugh out, even for a moment. She didn't think of it that way, neither of them did in all honestly. The way they saw it was just another way of respecting their elders, as one would do to anyone in power. It didn't occur to them that the way they go about it screamed that they were raised by a Special Forces father and a mother in the Navy.
Before they could conversate further however the woman who introduced herself as Senior Lieutenant Alexandra Lebedeva made her way to sit beside Kelly, out of Habit they saluted the woman as she approached. "Lieutenant." They greeted before dropping the salute, The offhand joke she made catching Sarah off guard leaving only Fearah getting the joke. Sarah gave the woman a nod before her sister spoke. "Yes ma'am, It would seem so." Fearah returned before hearing her question on where to go, The duo had scouted ahead to the nearby town, not that there were very many of them. "Well Ma'am, Further down this road, Maybe.. What.. fifteen clicks you think?" She asked turning to her sister, "About that, yes." She agreed before going quiet again for Fearah to continue. "There's the town of Harvey. We didn't go in very far but it seems to be full of the dead, At least the main road was. Not sure about the side roads ma'am." As she waited for an answer Both of them felt the camper lurch forward as it began to get underway. "I wouldn't recommend going through the main road ma'am, unless this thing can take repeated hits to the front."
