Overall Personality: Ayako is extremely quiet and keeps to herself. Even though she is a woman of few words she will stick up for her beliefs and will protect the people she is closest to. She was once a rebellious wild child but has since matured into a warrior. She feels as though she can take care of herself and doesn't need help which is why she prefers to be along when hunting or exploring.


History: Ayako was born in Tokyo, Japan as the youngest in the family. Her father owned and managed a restaurant while her mother worked as a nurse. She has very little memories of Japan as she left when she was seven moving to Bar Harbor, Maine where her father decided to go overseas and open up a restaurant there. He left the one in Japan to her brother and growing up in America was quite different. She was always the odd one out due to her not being white and different but that didn't matter to her she liked to be alone. Growing up in Maine she and her dad went hunting and that was when she discovered her passion for the outdoors. Her mother was against as she was only a girl but her dad embraced it. She trained with her bow on a daily basis but growing up she tried to be social and went out to parties but in the end she just kept getting teased and made fun of until one day she had enough and stood up for herself. She fought her bully Amanda Rogers who tormented her all throughout high school breaking her nose in the process. She was arrested and soon after that she made more bad choices.

Two years after that her mother had cancer and died. During that time she stayed with her taking care of her. The relationship between them grew and her mother told her for the first time to follow her dreams so when she was 18 she started to tattoo and soon after that she started to work in her parent's garage as teens wanted to get tattoos but their parents wouldn't allow it. Over the next couple years she saved up for her face tattoo and when she got it her dad was shocked but he supported her decision and soon after that her and her father went out for a drink at the restaurant after hours where he presented her with his katana which was in his family for generations. Ayako was surprised but honored by her father and soon after that life seemed perfect.

When the outbreak happened Ayako was getting ready for her brother's wedding when she heard all the chaos going on in the streets she ran out and saw what appeared to be the dead coming back to life. She tried helping people and was making sure her family was safe, when the bridge was blown up everything seemed to go back to normal until the upraising happened from a few angry citizens her brother included. Her father stood on the side with the Sheriff's while her brother stood with Richard and his crew. She didn't want to have to choose or fight her family so she fled to the woods with Claudia and a few others hoping to take the town back one day from them.
