As if the dead weren't enough to deal with, the Mariners are now up against the Disciples of the Deep Ones, a group of drugged out fanatics who believe the tellings of H.P. Lovecraft are real.
The worlds gone to hell. A series of natural disasters happened, so utterly devastating there wasn't anything we could think to call it other then “The Event” kicked off and seems to have ended civilization as we know it.
Which is pretty bad.
And the mainlands full of dust storms that'll kill ya, the crumbling ruins of the world that you knew which'll crush you, and flesh eating monsters that want you and everyone you care about to be their lunch.
Which is worse.
Is there's any bright side at all? At least there's a safe haven in the form of an island community of survivors who'll happily welcome you and give you a home.
For however long that lasts.
So things could be better. Could be worse.
Like what if everything I just told you isn't a lie, but sure as hell ain't the full story? What if I told you this ain't Earth no more? That beings from another world have taken you and everyone else to a place this terrible for their own mysterious means? Or that they walk amongst you looking like normal folk?
See THAT would be worse. But don't worry there's no way that's true. Anyone that tells you that's just crazy. I promise.
