Even Though Yesterday's Gone
History: Ysabel Gutierrez grew up in a rough and terrible environment. She basically grew up in the projects of Atlanta and at an early age she knew to stay with her own people. Her father Pablo was a soldier for a street gang that was called "The Aztecas". Her father always looked out for her and she looked up to him. When she was 10 her father was arrested and died in prison due to a rival gang killing him. In her teens Ysabel was rebellious and got back in the gang life. She partied all day and all night letting her young soul waste away as she got involved with a gang member named Tony Amaro. She was addicted to Oxy and in order to support her habit she did jobs for him and had herself work the corner. She was hurting and it showed she honestly contemplated suicide but when she found out that she was pregnant it was as if her world changed for the better. She got clean thanks to her mother helping her and she seemed to do a completely change deciding to finish school and work at the local Walmart. But this sadly didn't stop Tony from getting her involved in the gang life and he forced her to do runs for them and act as her drug mule.
When she gave birth to Rosa and Tony was there he was a changed man and Ysabel could see it. He had her stop doing runs and tried to take care of his family. Everything seemed good for the next few years until Tony kept getting deeper and deeper in the gang life and one day he snapped and beat Rosa putting her in the hospital. Ysabel was so distrait over this that she filed a restraining order on him and moved out getting her own place with the help of her mother. When Tony started to harass her at Walmart she left and worked at a Mexican restaurant working at first as a waitress but eventually she moved up and was a chef. She had found a passion and it was cooking. Things seemed to look up for Ysabel and she decided to have a girls night out with her friends. On that night they went to Moxxie's and it was there that she saw a handsome biker and she knew right then and there that he would be going home with her tonight. After talking with him and feeling him out she left with him and after a long night of passion she felt like she was on top of the world. She was embarrassed at first when Troy met her daughter thinking he would bail but his response surprised her and soon after a few weeks they became a couple. She knew of his gang and she completely understand and was glad that he never told her anything. But when Tony came back into her life it went downhill from there. She wasn't afraid of Tony anymore and he could see that. When Troy defended her and got Tony to leave she was happy and felt grateful for him. But when she got home she was attacked and nearly beaten to death during a break in. The intruders wore masks and she tried to fight back but it didn't matter they were to strong. As she laid there convulsing on the floor all she want in that moments was to die. She wanted to be rid of all the pain that she had suffered.
But that didn't happen and she woke up in the hospital surrounded by her mother, Rose, Troy and his gang. She cried feeling guilty for wanting to die and leaving behind the people who cared for her and as she rested up in the hospital Troy came by and told her not to worry anymore and that they were safe. She felt truly lucky to have someone like Troy in her life and after a few weeks of healing at home she went back to work and soon everything seemed normal until Troy proposed to her. Her life was now perfect and as they celebrated Roger took her home and as they entered the house he was ready to kill her but had a change of heart. It made her realize not all of them were bad and as he drove her and Rosa to the train station he got her a ticket to Austin, Texas where her and Rosa would start a new life. About three months later the ended of the world happened and Ysabel was at first terrified but she tried to stay strong for her daughter. She soon met a group of survivors at a movie theater and they formed a community. Everything seemed to be going well until Miles the leader of the group at the time was thinking of using the woman as bargaining chips to pay for supplies with other groups. This caused tension within the group and soon Ysabel left with Rosa after the dead broke in. She fought her way out and for a long time it was her and Rosa until they met Ali. Ysabel was at first suspicious of Ali but after she offered food not only to her but her daughter she decided to let her guard down. After doing her interview Ali drove her to Dallas and when she helped them find a car she said goodbye to Ali and they soon left Texas deciding to head back home where hopefully she would run into a few familiar faces. When she arrived into Atlanta it was a war zone the dead were everywhere. She went to her mom's place and it was trashed but sadly nothing. She took a few family photos and grabbed a few of her old clothes for her and some of Rosa's clothes. When she went to the Hell-Riders Clubhouse and saw that it was destroyed her heart sank and she kept looking around for any sign of Troy or any of the Hell-Riders. She found a warehouse with a few survivors holding off. She traded a few clothes for information and when she found out Troy and the gang went to Maine awhile back, she smiled as she now had a destination in mind. She got in her car and drove off with Rosa heading to Maine to go see the love of her life that she hasn't seen in years.
