Overall Personality: Amalie would best be described as a teacher when it came to personality, she's very stern with people when they make mistakes but her main goal is always to help people learn from the mistakes they make. She's soft spoken and kind to those that earn her trust but to her trust is earned, not given. She comes off as cold and uncaring to those she does not know but there's always something behind her words that feels warm, like a mother speaking to their child. Very blunt Amalie always speaks her mind on the matter at hand, no matter the stance she has taken on it.
Even Though Yesterday's Gone
History: Amalie grew up in the town of Dourdan, a small town about an hours drive south of Paris. Growing up she didn't have very many friends and spent most of her time alone, every Friday her father would take her to the theater. This is where she saw her first film and in turn her future. She knew then she wanted the world to know her name, either through film or other means.
In her teen years Amalie began to find herself, she had taken to her studies like butter to toast and thanks to her father had taken an especially big interest in Medicine and math. Graduating primary school Amalie set off to university medicine with a minor in teaching. Her main goal was to become one of the leading brain surgeons in the world when she first arrived and she quickly set herself down the path to obtain this dream, However as she continued through her years of schooling she began to take a specific interest in teaching others, It started as tutoring high schoolers after class for extra money and began to grow from there. Getting through her first few years of school she decided to switch her focus to Calculus instead of medicine, her new goal was to become a teacher. A few short years after that Amalie graduated in the top of her class with a major in Calculus and a minor in practical medicine.
After graduation her mother and father presented her with a plane ticket, to Hollywood California, they knew how much she loved movies and the silver screen and presented her with an all expenses paid trip to visit the place where the stars were born. Next thing she knew she found herself on the streets of Hollywood, it wasn't anything like she imagined. It had it's good places but for the most part it was just one gigantic tourist trap. But as chance would have it she met a man there, a boy about a year older than herself named Dirk, Having moved from Germany a few years back Amalie learned that he had chosen to stay to pursue his dream of being an astrologist in the states. The two fell deeply in love after that and after getting married they decided to stay in America. Settling down in a small town to the south of Madison Wisconsin Amalie landed a job teaching Calculus at the local university while Dirk began to work at the local observatory. They had a good life, in their late thirties they decided to try for a child. They had a beautiful baby girl named Ellie, after Amalie's mother. Amalie and Dirk raised her on the sciences and watched her blossom into a bright shining star of knowledge.
When the dead began to rise Amalie and her family had held up in the observatory that Dirk worked in and stayed for a time, but as fate would have it the dead smelt them out and the next thing Amalie knew her daughter was gone and her husband torn limb from limb by the creatures. Spending a number of months searching for her lost daughter Amalie soon found herself in a small settlement named Jones Springs. A girl passed through a number of months after that, a Hispanic named Sara Ramirez, she was bright and Amalie loved her dearly. When she left she gave her the bracelet that had belonged to her daughter, having become the head medical personnel for the camp Amalie couldn't bring herself to leave to search again, the needs of the many outweighed the few now and so she gave the bracelet to her in the hope that maybe some day she'll find her and tell her that her mother is still alive and that she's waiting for her to come home.
