Overall Personality:
Diana’s a supportive and caring woman. She puts others before herself to keep them safe. To her, she worries about others abilities to defend themselves from both Walkers and people. Especially people. People are far worse and dangerous than the Dead.


History:
Diana was born in the Dominican Republic to a Dominican father and a Puerto Rican mother. Diana’s father was in the Mexican Army and her mother was with the Federales. So Diana grew up to a strong, military and police family. Her parents weren’t around much but she was still able to grow up with them when neither of them were busy. Diana was an only child since both her parents were busy taking care of their country. It wasn’t until she was 8 when both their parents left their respected jobs and decided to move to America to better Diana and themselves.

The family moved to New York City and began their American life. Diana’s mother joined the NYPD while her father became a National Guardsman for the New York National Guard. So he was home more often for Diana and take cared of her and be there for her. She decided to join the military like his father when she got older. Both her parents gave their full support especially her father since he was a military man himself.

At 17, Diana went to a Marine Corps recruitment office and joined the Marines. After she graduated high school two weeks later, Diana went to Parris Island and attended boot camp. When she graduated, she was deployed in Afghanistan. After a year in the Marines, both her parents retired from their careers and moved to San Juan to enjoy their remaining days together while Diana served her country.

During her second tour, Diana met a fellow Marine who recently graduated from Boot Camp. Her name was Eva McCarthy. Like most Marines, she gave her the nickname ‘Blue Bird’ due to seeing her one day on a hill on a clear day. It was a pretty site to see and that nickname stuck with her since. But only Diana was allowed to call her the nickname. No one else did.

Throughout the years, Diana grew close to Eva but not too close as much as she wanted to. One being she wasn’t sure Eva was into girls and another was Diana was in a ‘special’ relationship with two fellow Marines. But she was happy to be good friends with Eva no matter what. Sadly, after four years, Eva left the Marines after serving her time. Diana was bummed she didn’t go career like she did but she didn’t blame her. Not everyone could go career in the military. Diana kept in touch with Eva and was happy to hear she was still happily 

After eleven years in the Marine Corps, Diana was given a Honorable Discharge and went back home in New York. As she settled, she came across a familiar Bird in the big city. It was then the two ladies rekindled their friendship and perhaps even a possible relationship. Three months later, she joined the New York SWAT team and began her new career there.

After only over a year into SWAT, things went to shit in New York. Some sort of outbreak broke out and made people more crazier than usual. A city wide evacuation and quarantine began but not everyone was able to get out including Diana and quarantine failed. She and her fellow officers took shelter in the local police department. They managed to have it into a shelter for them and the officers. Unfortunately after six months, other survivors turned desperate and attacked the station. Diana and several other officers managed to get away from the attack and went their separate ways.

Diana came across the local mall and surprisingly, no one was in it. The place was cleared out and Diana had to start from scratch again. She turned the bed store into a home for her. A week later, she found her Blue Bird while looking for supplies and the two ladies began rebuilding the mall. They also expressed how they felt between one another and became a new couple. Diana decided they were more of a power couple cause of the two of them being military women.

Since then, she has been living with her best friend and lover and are still thriving to turn the mall into a future community for other struggling survivors.
