Overall Personality:  Zane is a control freak.  He has to have control over everything.  He is particular about how he dresses.  Polite manners are a must.  He considers rudeness to be personally offensive which can cause him to become violent.  He rules through fear and respect and is known to become homicidally violent at the drop of a hat.  No one crosses Zane because they fear his temper which can come from no where.  Outwardly he shows no signs of disturbance until it is already too late and you are on the receiving end of one of his temper tantrums.  Zane's phrase for what he calls the walkers is "Deadlegs"


History: Zane is a hopeless romantic.  He believes in love at first sight.  He believes in soul mates and he is always searching for the perfect woman.  Zane has been married before.  Seven times in fact.  He doesn't believe that any woman can resist him.  He believes himself to be undeniable to women.  Before the outbreak Zane was a spoiled trust fund brat.  His parents bailed him out of trouble more times than he could count.  Bribing people to stay quiet about his offensive behavior and paying hush money to his victims who he insisted were consensual misunderstandings.  

Eventually his parents got tired of his antics and forced him to get a job.  He started a job as a summer camp councilor.  This resulted in him getting a few restraining orders from some of the female councilors.  Zane is not used to the word no.  He doesn't believe that anything should be denied to him.  He has a skewed sense of entitlement.  After the outbreak Zane has captured and tortured several women.  Believing that he is doing it for them.  That they are meant to be.  Zane has some mental issues.  He is not crazy, but his view of the world is horrible misaligned. 

Kidnapping several women Zane tries to make them the perfect wife.  Each marriage has ended in failure.  Eventually resulting in him loosing his temper just a little to much that ends it his wife's death.  But being the hopeless romantic that he is he keeps them.  He dresses them in their wedding dress he forced them to marry him in.... He chains them up in a special room.  He calls this room his "Honeymoon suite."  It is where he goes to reminisce about his past failed marriages.  Where he goes to admire his former brides and look back on the past.  They are all dead of course.  And each of them have turned.  They are chained just out of arms reach and when he enters the room they all try to reach him... Arms out grabbing at him trying to bite, but in Zane's twisted me he sees this as them begging him to take them back.  He sees this as them longing to hold him in their arms.  He loves them all in his own sick way.

 His most recent bride was Madison Paige.  "The one that got away." Quite literally.  She actually did have the ceremony and  though none of his marriages were legal in any way he still considers Madison Paige to be his current wife.  Though she slashed his throat and burned down his compound and escaped.  All of Zane's Ex wives were burned alive in the fire, but the fire didn't kill their reanimated forms.  Zane almost died in the fire himself though some of his men pulled him from the burning building. 

Seeing the horribly burnt flesh of each of his brides Zane shot them each in the head himself.  Officially "Divorcing" them.  Zane is beyond pissed now.  He left his group leaderless and went off in search of Madison.  He is determined he is going to make an honest woman out of her.  His men are somewhere, but they don't believe that Zane is ever going to come back he has been gone for months.  Zane now spends every minute of every day searching for Madison.  To teach her what it means to "Love. Honor. And Obey."
