Likes: Alcohol, guns, rock music, motorcycles, cars, leather, tattoos, pizza, pasta, dogs
Dislikes: Stupidity, rich people, commies, liberals, cats, that one prince guy from Monaco, what's his face?
Strengths: She's learned to shoot really well since the outbreak, she's a good driver, skilled mechanic and handy(wo)man
Habits: Tends to get carry away with the booze, she swears, has a tendency of making inappropriate jokes at the wrong time
Flaws: She has a tendency of taking everything lightly and burst out in sarcasm even when her life is in danger, has resting bitchface syndrome meaning she may seem uninterested even when she's not, she rubs people the wrong way because she has a hard time getting serious
Dreams/goals: At some point, Donna wanted her own tuning shop and custom outfitting garage and was working to get it, but the end of the world brought an end to that. Right now she's just fighting to live another day and find whatever family she has left
Fears: Finding out all of her relatives are dead and she's all alone on the world, running out of booze, becoming one of those dead things that shuffles around naked
Overall Personality: Donna is a fun person to be around once she gets comfortable around you, she's in general good to people but has a big mouth and an inappropriate sense of humor which makes her rub people the wrong way and she makes a bad first impression. Even when her life's in danger she cracks jokes and will probably continue to do so even when an army of the dead are chomping away at her. She has a hard time getting serious mentally but she knows how to put in a decent amount of work.
Even Though Yesterday's Gone
History: Donna was born and raised in Little Italy in New York City and lived a 'real meatball life' as she would call it herself. Her family were devout catholics and they were very traditional when it came to holidays, weddings, baptisms, funerals and such. Her parents ran a succesful Italian restaurant in which Donna was forced to work in too. After she finally got her driver's license, Donna got enamored with cars and was often found working on her car in the back while she should've been working in her parents' restaurant. There would often be grease stains on the plates and such. However, glad their daughter was passionate about something her parents abided by it until Donna actually picked up street racing. She made a decent amount of cash in the illegal circuit of street racing but one crash and a month of hospital stay later would put an end to that.
Her parents sent Donna away for a while to her godparents (her aunt and uncle) in Bar Harbor to finish her last year of high school there, and to be away from the big city for a while. Donna would spent her summer vacations there when she was younger, together with her cousins Claudia and Dario so she was familiar with the small fishing village. Like in New York with her parents, her aunt and uncle too would make Donna work in, yes you guessed it, Italian restaurant but unlike in New York it was more fun with her cousin Claudia around. And being friends too with the local sheriff's kid, Mallory, kept Donna on the straight and narrow. Donna graduated high school in Bar Harbor but didn't return to New York City when her cousin Claudia went to college there.
Instead, Donna embarked on her own journey. She bought a motorcycle and started cruising through the US, picking up temporary jobs such fruit picker, lumberjack, life guard and even summer camp councilor to finance the life she was living. Donna spent the majority of her 20s living this way, stepping out of it every once in a while to go on a far away vacation with her cousin Claudia and see a bit of the world. At 29, Donna finally returned to New York City to 'get serious', even if that was the thing she struggled with most. She took up working as a mechanic and dreamed of her own shop one day.
Then, this customer came into the garage. He seemed out of it. Donna figured it to be some kind of dope fiend but when he got too close Donna warned him a couple of times before she finally smacked his head in with a wrench. Thinking she killed someone she ran out of the garage to look for help but found the streets in chaos. It appeared that mysterious disease they had been hearing and seeing about that came from back west had finally made its way to the City That Never Sleeps. The army had put up checkpoints in the city before as a preventive measure but of course, New Yorkers don't like to be told what to do. Donna ran home to find her parents already being held at gunpoint. Donna, her sister and brother got locked up in the restaurant's office, but as luck would have it that's exactly where her father kept a gun hidden. Donna and her siblings managed to get free and using some stealth and guile, finishing the last of the looters off with the gun.
For her parents however, it was already too late. The looters had beaten them to death. Donna went to work on the last of the surviving looters and carved him up with a knife out of revenge and anger. Donna and her siblings then joined a large group of survivors that wanted to get out of the city, but she was separated from her brother and sister when the army MOAB'ed New York City in an attempt to defeat the dead. Donna spent the better of two years living in a small community in North Fork Long Island, returning to the rubble of what was once New York City often to look for her brother and sister.
After two years, she finally decided to give up and move on. Donna left the community, after never having really felt like she belonged to it anyway. One of the few people she did managed to befriend however, a gunsmith, gave her a shiny Colt Single Action Army revolver and a Winchester M1887 shotgunt that could cover a lot of real estate. Donna then got on her motorcycle and departed. There was nothing left for her anymore in New York so she figured she'd head further East. Maybe cousin Claudia was still alive back in Maine, and she might have a couch Donna could crash on.
