Won't you walk with Elias?" The words slipped over his silver tongue and was cool breeze to his followers. They ate up every word. Elias stood there shirtless his arms extended out to his sides. He had tattoos covering his arms and chest. A few on his ribs and across his back. Elias had scars scattered about his body. He wore them like badges of honor. Each one represented the parted soul of a sinner he personally saw to put down. They were points of pride for him. "Won't you walk with me? To the garden of Eden?"
Elias repeated. He looked around and saw a sea of nodding heads. It had only been a year since God and all his wisdom had chose to test the world's faith. He sent this plague to the earth to find those who were truly worthy of his love. Elias was worthy. Elias had god's will in the palm of his hand and he would deliver it. Sunlight spilled in through the rafters of the old barn. There was a heavy scent of hay and straw in the air. Golden rays of sunlight kissed his skin through the slats in the old dirty boards. Elias stood on top of a hay bale.
Hopping off of it he landed with a short drop. He motioned towards the doors. The doors opened by two followers a woman walked in with a chained up sinner "Do you have faith brothers and sisters? Do you believe that i am truly here from god and here to ascend you to the garden? It's true. Point a gun at my head. No bullet shall penetrate me. Set me on fire and no flame shall burn me. God will not let anything happen to me. God will not take me. Because I am here to do his will. And I have faith......
With a humble nod Elias told the woman to release the sinner. It's eyes were red and bloodshot. Muck hung from it's snarling lips as it growled and clawed at the air. "COME ONTO ME! TASTE MY FLESH AND MY BLOOD AND SATISFY THE HUNGER YOU HAVE BEEN DAMMED WITH POOR SINNER!" The sinner, who was blinded, prior to being led into the barn; growled louder. Elias raised a hand to his lips to shhhhh his children. "HERE! LIES THE SINNER AND THE SAINT. THE SAINT IS HERE TO SHOW YOU THAT GREED AND GLUTTONY WILL NOT GO UNPUNISHED. THIS AFFLICTION.... THIS DAMNABLE CREATURE WISHES TO KILL ME!!!! GOD WILL NOT LET YOU TAKE ME.
The sinner stumbled towards the sound of Elias's voice. The only thing it had to go on was sound and it was hungry. It snarled and drooled and moved closer to Elias. He raised his arms to embrace it. A warm smile spreading across his face like a sickness. "You can not take me beast....." He whispered. The creature got closer now. Some of the followers looked concerned. Elias held his arms out a rosary bead bracelet hanging from his wrist. The creature was closer now. It stumbled. And landed on it's face breaking it's jaw. It hung off the hinge awkwardly. And Elias only taunted it. "RISE CREATURE. RISE AND TAKE ME FROM THIS WORLD! BRING ME TO THE PALACE OF WISDOM TO DINE WITH KINGS AND QUEENS AND GODLY MEN!' The walker got up, the sinner stumbled over to Elias and tried to bite him, but couldn't because it's jaw was broken.
It slobbered all over Elias's neck but did not bite him. After a few moments of trying and startled gasps from the followers Elias tired of his demonstration. He grabbed the sinner and broke it's neck with a quick twist and snap. He raised his arms as if to say "see i told you." He smiled wider. "SEE MY CHILDREN? GOD DID NOT TAKE ME BECAUSE HE HAS PLANS FOR US..." It was pure luck that Elias wasn't dead right now, but he took it as a sign that God wanted him to remain on his path. He took it and only fed his delusions. "We have much work to do." He said moving through the crowd and out of the barn. As the door swung open a bright ray of sunlight spilled into the barn and lit up the faces of smiling believers who believed in Elias more than ever now.
Elias stepped out into the cool morning. His hair was pulled back into a messy bun, sweat trickled from his passionate brow. One of his flock walked up to him. It was sister Melody. She was older than Elias by some years. Long, honey blonde hair. Sweet blue eyes. She was an attractive sort. She was a faithful sort. "Ms. Melody?" Elias asked as she handed him a rag to dab the sweat from his forehead. "We are moving out soon aren't?" She asked. There was a bit of concern ringing sweet in her voice. "Yes." Elias said staring out over the horizon.... "Many lost souls need to hear our calling. We must reach them Ms. Melody.....We must reached them." He repea
