Flaws: Rick places enormous amounts of stress on himself to make sure his group survives by setting himself impossible goals that he knows can be reached. Rick is also very stubborn in sticking to the moral code that he has set himself and not budging when challenged.

Dreams/goals: Have a community that stands the test of time having Carl & Judith outlive him by getting old.

Fears: Losing his family to the apocalypse, Outliving his children

Overall Personality: Rick Grimes is a very stubborn man, sticking strictly to his moral code which has developed during his many years in the outbreak. He cares deeply about his friends and family putting his own wellbeing aside so he can provide the best possible outcome for his group and family.
He is very calm and collected in the most dire situations due to his desensitisation to the way the current world is and he is ready to destroy threats may they be living or dead if they threaten the wellbeing of the group when someone pisses him off to a huge extent or have has harmed/killed a member of his group he will hunt them to the end of the Earths to get his revenge.

He has shown great restraint while with people with a strong moral compass having there personality rub off on him, if they wish for a person to have a second chance and Rick trusts their judgement then he will throw aside his own personal bias and believe them, he will try to bring people back from the brink of insanity having experienced it himself because he doesn't want people to experience what he did.

Due to his abilities he has been placed in a leadership role that he doesn't want if given the option he will fade in the background and raise his children but everytime he tries to do so a threat appears forcing him back into the leadership role and if he doesn't trust the current leader or system he will take control if he believes he can do better, he is also a very caring Father with despite the hardships of the apocalypse has been able to raise his children to be hardened survivors like himself.





History: Rick Grimes was born in Georgia somewhere near the city of Atlanta and he grew up alongside his best friend Shane Walsh.
Rick was also incredibly close to his parents his Father whom he described as a 'profound' man was what instilled a strong moral code onto him, which still affects his everyday life today and his Mother often told him the stories which encouraged him to never give up in the face of adversity.

When he was growing up alongside Shane he had was always told he was the more disciplined out of the two which is because of what his parents had wanted him to become and because of this he was never that good with woman often having short lived relationships, eventually Rick and Shane went to college to train to become Police Administration and eventually became as such in the King County Sheriff Department and were shortly promoted to Deputies together.

It was in King County where Rick met Lori who would eventually become his wife and they would have a son named Carl together and due to Rick's close relationship with his Father he wanted to same to be said about him and his child and he used to do loads of stuff with Carl despite how busy he was and this made the two incredibly close as well but eventually Rick was given more work due to his skill at the job and this caused a strain on his marriage with Lori due him distancing himself from her, eventually this culminated in an argument with Lori in front of Carl and then he distanced himself completely which made him absorbed in his work.

One week after the argument Rick went on a normal call with Shane about a robbery after killing most of the shooters they believed that it was all of them and when Rick had his back turned he was shot in the back and it caused him to go into a coma which lasted 5 weeks in which the outbreak began to occur.
Eventually soldiers came to hospital Rick was at to secure it for Army use and they began killing people, Shane who was still in King County when it happened went to check if Rick was okay but he was still in his Coma believing Rick was lost he left him but he jammed his door with a bed and this allowed Rick to survive.

Eventually Rick re-awoke from his Coma and quickly discovered what happened due to the help of a man named Morgan and Rick left for Atlanta in search of his family, after encountering his first child walker he eventually found a house and saw how desperate people got with seeing someone who had shot himself and his family and then he took the horse because his vehicle had run out of fuel and eventually reached Atlanta.

He was able to got into the main area of Atlanta but once he turned the corner he was face to face with a horde, he was able to be saved because of a tank and a group of survivors that were scavenging in Atlanta after meeting them he escaped Atlanta alongside them. The group turned out to be run by his best friend Shane who survived and had saved his wife Lori and Carl.
He did a couple trips to Atlanta afterwards but the camp was attacked causing them to find the CDC to find out what caused the outbreak but even they didn't know and the facility was blown up by the last remaining scientist.

Rick and the group then couldn't do anything once most of the there vechicles ran out of fuel and while looking for it a horde passed them and they lost track of Sophia, while looking for Sophia they found a deer and Carl was shot accidently by a man named Otis and he brought them to a farm run by Hershel Greene and his family.
This didn't last though and after clearing the barn of walkers, Shane hit a breaking point and Rick was forced to 'kill him' and he left him at the farm and then they left the burning ruins of the farm.

Rick and his group eventually found the prison and they began clearing it out, Hershel lost his leg and they met the old inhabitants of the prison, he got angry with the hostile prisoners and they went missing not long afterwards alongside a couple of other prisoners.
Lori eventually gave birth to Judith (who Rick knew was Shane's) and then not long afterwards the group was attacked by a man named The Governor. The Governor was then believed to be dealt with but he reappeared and attacked the Prison which left the Prison ruined and they were forced to leave after they had dealt with The Governor again.

The Group is now looking for another location to call home and they have found somewhere that has barely been touched hopefully they can call that home.
