Likes: Guns, knives, shooting, hunting, horseback riding, hamburgers, popcorn, pop punk music and the good old Red, White and Blue
Dislikes: Liberals, democrats, communists, bandits, mosquitos
Strengths: Gun smith, expert marksman, hunting pro, fishing pro, survival expert, charismatic talker
Habits: She's always finnicking with something, regularly whittles something out of boredom, she always wears a level 3 bulletproof vest, even in summer when it's hot outside
Flaws: She gets bored easily, has no filter in her speech, can't shut up for more than 30 seconds, not much of a melee fighter, can get overpowered easily or knocked out quick due to her frail frame, not very strong, she's as subtle as a brick wall usually
Dreams/goals: Living to see the plague end one day and live regularly again, have a family with kids
Fears: Losing her horse, turning into one of the dead, getting captured by bandits or raiders, end up on some cannibal's plate
Overall Personality: RJ practically is the archetype of the All-American Girl, having been raised to love her country and freedom. She's a nice and sweet person and always speaks her mind and people love her for it. She tends not to have a filter in her speech though, so she may unintentionally rub people the wrong way, even if her intentions are good. She gets bored easily and can usually be found doing one thing or another because she has trouble sitting still and doing absolutely nothing. She loves to talk and has a way of telling stories vividly.
Even Though Yesterday's Gone
History: RJ was born and raised together with her twin sister and four older brothers in Bandera Falls, Texas as the All-American Girl who loved her country and freedom. Her family celebrated all holidays intensely and usually organized the parties for the community. Her parents owned a few hunting stores in Texas and bred American Morgan horses on their ranch. She lived in relative wealth but wasn't spoiled rotten. RJ regularly went out hunting or fishing with her father and brothers, and often went to the shooting range with them. Due to her family's business, RJ learned gunsmithing, maintaining weapons and learned everything there is to know about hunting, camping and survival. She helped out with the horsebreeding too and rode her own horse Cookie every day after school.
In school she tried to be Switzerland, meaning she tried to be neutral when it came to being in a clique, but after she was asked to try out for the cheerleader squad she ended up hanging with the popular girls anyway. It wasn't so much for status, but because she saw the good in the 'mean girls', and thought she could keep them from bullying others. Unfortunately, because of the company she kept, RJ would often be accused of being disingenuine whenever she was nice to other not-so popular kids in school, even if her intentions were good. She hated being considered one of the 'mean girls' and tried her best to get along with everyone, involving herself in school matters and partaking in various extra-curricular clubs.
When the plague hit, her family decided to remain at home, fortifying the ranch and making it a sanctuary for whoever wanted shelter. Most of the people in Bandera Falls flocked to the Monroe ranch and RJ's father organized a militia to keep everyone safe. Unfortunately after 8 months they were approached by bandits who came demanding the people at the Monroe ranch would pay a regular 'protection fee'. Being the leader, RJ's father William Monroe flat-out refused them which ended up with the bandits leading a large undead herd from San Antonio to Bandera Falls, and the Monroe ranch. Even though they fought valiantly, the ranch was overrun by the dead and RJ's parents along with her two oldest brothers were killed. RJ had to flee on horseback along with her twin sister and her two other brothers into the desert into Mexico.
After spending two months in Mexico with her siblings, RJ talked them into hunting down the bandits who attacked the ranch and taking revenge for their parents. They went back to the ranch which was destroyed and almost empty of the dead and were able to gather personal items. The bandits had moved the herd someplace else, and RJ and her siblings were able to track them. Then one night, they led the bandits' own herd against them. The ones that tried to flee were gunned down by RJ herself.
After that RJ and her siblings roamed the US, trying to look for another survivor community where they could live. When they reached Georgia they were attacked once more by raiders, and RJ and her twin sister got separated from their two brothers. Before that however, they had heard from other survivors that people were flocking to the northeastern states and figured that's where their brothers would be going. RJ and her twin sister ended up in Maine and were accepted in a community called New Haven which was in a school run by kids for kids. RJ and Kylie-Mae decided to stay, having nowhere else to go.
But Who Are You Really?
