Strengths: Hunting, boating experience / sea legs, Fishing (Cod and local fish experience), Mechanical experience given by her father
Habits: Plays with her fathers old lighter, flicking the lid open and shut when bored or thinking
Flaws: Tends to be weary of newcomers, prefers to stay on her boat than be on the mainland, see's large groups as a scary or otherwise dangerous thing
Dreams/goals: From the moment Ivy can remember she was on her fathers Cod boat, starting out confined to the cabins until she began getting older she soon found herself doing more and more around the boat until she finally was tall and strong enough to help her father with the operation of the boat. Since the end of days and her father sadly met his end she has two goals. 1: Keep the boat running, keep it afloat and keep the promise she made her father. 2: Find someone to make the end of days not so BORRRING (╥︣﹏᷅╥)
Fears: Seeing her fathers boat go up in flames, sink, or otherwise be destroyed.
Overall Personality: Ivy is a ball of sunshine in an otherwise dreary day, with a smile permanently fixated on her features it takes a hell of a lot to take it away. Bubbly, happy, with a joke always on the tip of her tongue Ivy's the first to jump in to any challenge, and probably be humming or singing as she does so.
Even Though Yesterday's Gone
History: Being the only daughter of a Cod fisherman that lived in a small ass town in the middle of the nearly always frozen, bear covered landscape of Alaska Ivy never had the luxuries that most children her age were privileged to have. The daughter of a dock worker and a fisherman she was almost never at home, let alone on land. Her mother, Ariana, who sadly passed away during child birth had left a lasting impression on her fairly aloof father, and, in stark contrast to the way he had been during the pregnancy never let his little angle out of his sights from that day forward.
Ever since Ivy could remember she found herself in the cabin of her fathers boat. The Grand Admiral it was called, and it, unlike the slightly larger crabbing boats that frequented the docks, was a Cod boat, Cod, which happened to be the primary bait used in Alaskan King Crab fishing was, as Ivy was quick to learn from her father, in fact more sought after than the crabs themselves, a fact that nearly always generated a laugh from the young girl. "So, WE'RE the real kings. Ain't that right dad?" She'd always joke.
The day the world came to a halt and the dead began to walk Ivy, her father, and the rest of their crew were unloading the days catch, the screams, the blood, it all happened so fast. Before Ivy knew what had happened they were on them, and the next, they were running, Alarms and soldiers on megaphones and speakers filled her ears, and soon, they were in a outpost of sorts, but, there was something wrong. A group of people, in the back near the wall all looked pail, and ill, sorta like her dad when he got the flu. Then, the worst thing she could imagine happened.. Her father was one of them, before she could protest the soldiers guided him away, away from her, towards the back.
That was the last time she saw him alive. Hours passed, and with each passing minute Ivy became frantic to find her father. The place was getting more and more crowded by the hour, the entirety of Dutch harbor had to be here by now. Then... the screams started again, but not from outside the base, no.. These screams came from inside. The dead, the ones bitten and escorted to the back, were breaking loose. Chaos overtook the base and all Ivy could do was run, shouting for her father all the while. An amount of time lost on young Ivy went by before the chaos began to subside, and that's when she saw him. Dead, a bullet hole in his head, Was her father. In his hand was a piece of paper, and, once freed uncrumpled, read.
"Get out, Get to the boat, Stay safe. Stay alive. Keep smiling. I love you."
Balling the paper back up Ivy shed the first tear of her life, quickly grabbing her fathers knife, his necklace and the pistol from his hip he always carried with him for the bears Ivy ran back to her boat, no one was there, no crew, and no father... Getting aboard she cast off the mooring lines and pushed off, getting a distance away from land she stopped, and there she remained. Only coming ashore to scavange supplies she now spends her days maintaining the boat and hoping, that one day, maybe. A friend will find their way to the docks.
