Laura and Jake had been missing now for what seemed like forever at least to Laura. She lost track of the days and was fatigued. She hadn't slept in days, being up for so long she started to go a little stir crazy. The moment she felt her eyes get heavy and was ready to close them she was snapped back into reality by the one called The Seeker. He snapped his fingers and as he did Laura opened her eyes instantly. She was gagged and she looked over to Jake who was tied to a tree. Hostages like herself and Jake came and went. Once you were chosen for the "sacrifice" as she heard these cultists called it you were never the same. Some came out with fish skin sowed into them and others with missing limbs. Laura was terrified the only thing she could think of doing was running but if she did well how far could she have gotten and would she be able to stay away?
Laura was brought forth in her dirty uniform that had seen better days. On her left and right were girls dressed in white and in front of her stood the Seeker. The man just stared at her for a moment before a smile slowly formed on his face. He was wearing a dirty cult uniform with an apron that had been dirtied and had dry blood on it. He reached out to Laura and he gently stroked her face. Laura was shaking and she looked down at the ground closing her eyes. "So young and beautiful." said The Seeker softly. It was then he grabbed her by the neck and Laura was now staring into his eyes. "I will enjoy making you more beautiful...You will be my masterpiece...Oh I can see it now." said the Seeker who then started to laugh. It was then the Hunter and his team came back with three people. Laura looked at them but she didn't recognize them. Two men and one woman dressed in similar gear to Bar Harbar but she figured these were soldiers from Coalport as she heard of them when Mallory and the others came back from the dam. One of the men seemed to be in his early forties and was barely responsive it seemed he took a knife to gut and was laying on the ground. The other man seemed younger and was having trouble standing on his left leg. The woman was bleeding from her head yet she appeared to be the only one willing to stand up to them. "If you know what's good for you let us go now! If we don't go back home to Coalport they will rain hell down on you-" said the woman but she stopped herself as the Hunter stabbed the soldier laying on the floor killing him and ending his suffering.
The woman and the other man looked terrified as did Laura but the Seeker just laughed as he was enjoying this. "Oh what's the matter? Cat got your tongue?" asked the Seeker. He stood up from the tree stump he had been sitting on and walked over to the two soldiers. The woman just stared at the man with anger while the young man was fearful and the Seeker turned his attention to the woman. "I'm gunna enjoy breaking you...Through him." said the Seeker to the woman. As soon as he said that the Hunter and his men grabbed the young man throwing him to the ground in front of Laura and the other girls. They held him down and as they did the Seeker walked over to the young man. "P-Please don't do this!" pleaded the woman to the Seeker but her words were falling on deaf ears. The Seeker pulled out his stone knife and raised it up high. "May you give your life to Dagon and be awarded for it in the next life!" said the Seeker proudly. He then plunged the blade into the young man over and over again. As the light left the young man's eyes the Seeker hands were covered in blood and he wiped the blood on Laura's face who was crying and trying to move her face away. She looked at the other girls and they had no expression on their faces it seemed as if what had just happened had no effect on them. The lone soldier was now crying and dropped to her knees as she felt helpless. The Seeker then turned to the Hunter and his team. "Have fun with your new toy but don't break her just yet." said the Seeker to the Hunter. The Hunter grabbed the woman by her vest and dragged her away as she was screaming. Laura saw this and had tears running down her face. "Now...Let's move on to you shall we?" said the Seeker and Laura slowly turned to face him and he grabbed her by the hair dragging her. She was screaming yet it fell on deaf ears once more. Once she was thrown to the ground her gag was removed for a moment and she took this time to try and plead. "Wait, W-Wait, you don't have to d-do this." said Laura as was stumbling on her words out of fear. The Seeker kneeled down to her and moved a few strands of hair out of her face. "I have to do this...It's Dagon's Will and I will be an instrument to do his bidding." said the Seeker before laughing and putting back on Laura's gag. She screamed for help main screaming Jake's name but nothing was gunna change. No one was coming to help them. He then stuck a dirty needle into her arm and Laura's body was starting to feel heavy she felt as if she was sinking into the ground. "Do you hear that? Oh this is my favorite song to do my work." said the Seeker to Laura. Of course no song was playing it was all in the Seeker's head. Laura then passed out and the Seeker went to work as the music played over and over in his head.
Once the Seeker was done with amputating Laura's right arm he let the girls look over her keeping her alive as he wanted to continue his masterpiece. So he decided to pay the High Prestress. "Milady it seemed the Hunter came back with some non-believers. The two men were given to Dagon and the woman will I gave her to the Hunter and his playmates. Is there anything I can do to please you Milady?" asked the Seeker as he kneeled before her.
