An Unlikely Friendship

Ayako was just finishing up a small tattoo piece and as she bandaged it up the girl looked at Ayako with a smile. The girl was named Lilly and she was one of the people from Wisconsin that Ziggy and the others brought back. The tattoo was from a popular game back in the day something she knew but never played. "Wow I gotta say this is so awesome thank you so much!" said Lilly with a smile.




Ayako just nodded getting up from her chair for a moment walking over to the stereo and putting in a CD. She decided to go for a classic and she put on The Pixies.




As the music began to play she walked back to Lilly and made sure the bandage was on good before she left. As the music played she relaxed at the counter kicking her feet up and as she did Smokey had just finished up on someone. "Hey Aya going out for some food you want anything?" asked Smokey to Ayako who just shook her head. He then left and Ayako closed her eyes for a brief moment. But as she did the sound of the front door open and she quickly opened her eyes to see everyone's favorite nurse Cassandra.




She was quite a regular at the shop seeing as she had more art on her arm and her chest. But Cassie took it like a champ and never complained. "Hey." said Ayako as she gave a small smile to the nurse. Cassie was all smiles as usual and Ayako noticed her clothing was rather casual but she could tell it would draw some looks. Hell Cassie was a pretty woman and she knew it she could wear a garbage bag and still look like a ten out of ten. "Hey Ayako I was wondering could I get a small tattoo if possible?" asked Cassie to Ayako who nodded. "What's the tattoo and where do you want it?" asked Ayako as Cassie sat in the chair. "I was thinking of a small heartbeat tattoo with a cute heart around it, just on my right wrist something to crazy." said Cassie to Ayako who nodded. Ayako grabbed a pencil and some paper and went to work on the design. Cassie got up from the chair and walked around the shop looking at the different designs on the wall but the sword that was hanging up on the wall caught her eye. "Hey Aya is this yours?" asked Cassie to Ayako who looked over and could see the sword on the wall.

"No it belonged to my brother." said Ayako casually. Cassie was somewhat taken back she remembered that Ayako was the one who had to kill her own brother and afterwards she buried him outside of Bar Harbor with the help of her father. Still though she hadn't asked her she was doing, after it happened Ayako just kept busy either working in the shop or teaching people how to hunt just something to keep her mind busy. "Do you think you could teach me sometime? I mean how to use the sword?" asked Cassie to Ayako who stopped working on the design and looked at the nurse somewhat surprised. She had seen Cassie use handguns and was trained by her fiancé Mark. But a bladed weapon now that was a different story it's not like a scalpel. "How about asking my father?" suggested Ayako to Cassie who let out a nervous chuckle. "Well...I would but your dad is pretty intense and I would feel more comfortable if it was just us two. You know just us girls one on one." said Cassie to Ayako who had a slight smirk on her face. "Sure no problem. Alright I'm done with the design what do you think?" asked Ayako to Cassie who nodded and smiled brightly. "Hell yeah I love it!" said Cassie to Ayako. She then began to tattoo on Cassie's right wrist and once she was done Cassie held up her hand for a high five. Ayako just chuckled and high fived Cassie. It was silly but she could see that she made the nurse's day.




"Thank you Ayako! Seriously this is the best one yet." said Cassie to Ayako who just smirked. After she bandaged Cassie up the nurse headed towards the door but she stopped as she heard Ayako's voice call out to her. "Hey Cassie are you serious about learning how to use the sword?" asked Ayako to Cassie who nodded. "Yeah I mean...Guns and knifes work but a sword had a better reach." explained Cassie to Ayako who nodded and looked at Kenji's sword that hung up on the wall. "Tomorrow I'll teach you the basics but I won't go easy on you. If you are serious about this you go all in. Understand?" asked Ayako in a calm tone. "I understand...Thanks Ayako." said Cassie to Ayako. After Cassie left Ayako took her brother's katana off the wall and looked at it as she unsheathed the blade.




"Now you will do some good in this world." said Ayako in Japanese to herself as she stared at the blade.
