Having thanked Brody for warming them up Ayita followed Ziggy a short distance away before she felt her hug her. Smiling Ayita returned the favor and leaned in before hearing Ziggy ask her in a hushed tone what she was doing and that she had almost killed the boy with her look.
"I. I was just.. I was scared..He'd.. I don't know.. I guess I just got Jealous." Ayita stammered at the girls question, nerves flooded her brain at what she had just done, was it wrong to do what she did? She didn't know. Standing back up from their embrace Ayita listened as she began explaining that close contact with friends like before was something common in Germany, it confused her why she was apologizing to her and why she felt she needed to explain it to her. In all honestly Ayita thought herself was at fault there, That she had just read way too much into the situation.
As she listened to her lover contiue to explain herself Ayita shook her head before placing a kiss on Ziggys lips. Pulling away Ayita looked her lover in the eyes and took her hand. "Forgive me, Liebchen." Ayita responded to her girlfriend, "I didn't know and I let me jealousy get the better of me." She answered Ziggy before hearing her ask her to talk to her and explain that she didn't mean anything by it. Looking at her she watched as Sieglinde began to give her the puppy dog eyes that she knew Ayita couldn't say no to.
"You know using those eyes is cheating right?" Ayita said as she shook her head and a smile cracked her face. "A-Alright my love, I'll apologize and explain to him, I didn't mean to upset anyone." Ayita answered before being escorted by Ziggy to Brody who was still placing firewood on the fire.
Waiting for Ziggy to get his attention Ayita dipped her head as she waited for Ziggy to stop talking.
"Uhh, Well.. Before when we were warming up I, I let my jealously get the better of me and it, Well, It made me give you a dirty look. I'm sorry for that, I just, well.." Taking a breath she looked to Ziggy as she knew that she was going to have to tell the full story to her afterwards before back to Brody. "You remember when I told you about the farm? Well, Sieglinde's sorta the first person, I've.. Fallen in love with." She explained.
"Hey, Don't sweat it Ayi, No harm no foul. Your good. I understand, well, not really but, Don't sweat it okay?" Brody responded. Taking a deep breath in relief as she heard his response Ayita looked to Ziggy and guided her to a nearby tree before sitting down with her at its base.
"I guess I should tell you what I meant when I said 'The Farm'." Ayita began as she wrapped her arm around her lover. "Remember when I said I grew up secluded and that's why I didn't really know about anything we saw or did?" She asked as she looked Ziggy in the face. "Well, that place was a farm. And it's where I grew up. You see, I was home schooled and before the end of everything I never left it. In fact my first experience with anything passed our plot of land was after all of this started." She continued. "My mom died during childbirth due to a car wreck and my father blamed society for her death so he decided I didn't need to know what was outside, I didn't really ever question it much before this." Ayita leaned her head on Ziggys shoulder. "When the dead began to walk I had woken up just as I had every other day. Every morning I would wake up and go to the kitchen where my father would be drinking his coffee by the back door. But, that morning he wasn't there, He wasn't in the house at all. I searched for nearly an hour before I checked the last place I could think of." Ayita shuttered as she recalled the memory. "I went into the barn and there he was.. Or, What was left of him." Looking to Ziggy a tear formed in her eye. "I.. I left the farm after that, And.. Started looking for the rest of my family.. I was so depressed.." Taking a deep breath Ayita looked to Ziggy before placing a kiss on her lips. "But then.." She chuckled. "Then I found you.. And.. Everything got better. I.. I actually started seeing light at the end of the tunnel again. I'm sorry for being mean to Brody.. I'm, Just new to, all, all of these feelings."
