A Fishy Beginning

Having scouted ahead of her sister Fearah looked to her sides and rear before back at the town ahead, She caught sight of a patrol on their way back to the raft, a man in what looked to be law enforcement or military garb, She had stayed out of sight the first time seeing him and had led Sarah away before a thought crossed her mind, if more people from that group were as well armed as that man then they were going to need some serious backup. Her mind went to Justin and Alexandra and what she knew about the two of them. Justin was a glorified badass to say the least when it came to gun handling in tight places, having full use of only one hand he had come up with some extremely creative and sometimes sneaky ways of firing his weapons. Alexandra on the otherhand was probably the single scariest person Fearah knew, she was kind when it came to the people she cared about but once someone threatened something she cared about, that was it for them. There was a reason everyone called her Mama Bear.

Fearah stopped in her tracks. "Sarah, Let's go check out the town for a second.' She said with puppydog eyes.
"Check out the town? No. We're under orders to return back before nightfall." Sarah responded.
"And we will. Don't you think gathering a little bit of intel would help us though?" Fearah said in the voice she used when she really wanted something. "Come on. In and out, twenty minute adventure."
Sarah shook her head. "I'm gonna regret this." she said under her breath. "Fine, Let's check it out. But first sign of trouble we're out. Understand?" Sarah then said.

Fearah nodded and without another word began to lead the way towards where the patrol she had spotted disappeared. A few moments later she spotted a head bobbing through the trees a ducked before giving Sarah the sign to stay put. She crept forward towards the edge of the trees, before her stood the towm, it's wooden docks jetting out of the banks. Fearah took a breath and closed her eyes before screaming and intentionally falling out of the treeline in view of the people. To Sarah she would have just been ambushed but Fearah knew full well what she was doing.

Next thing she knew she found herself with her hands tied behind her back and a blindfold on. Multiple men spoke to her, One in particular who had extremely bad breath seemed to like to threaten people, no matter their age. Not being able to see Fearah felt her heart beat hard as the man threatened her and stuck his gun in her mouth, Fearah shuttered at the sensation. The gun soon came out and he whiped it off on the shoulder of her jacket. Then everything was gone in a blur of heavy metal and darkness.

Fearah felt herself being grabbed and hoisted into a car, felt the latch of her hip holster pop open and the weight of her pistol disappear before feeling the rumble of the vehicle she now found herself in, her nerves skyrocketted as she thought about her story. Remembering some of the things her father talked about with them and some of the stories he would tell she tried her best to think of a viable story as the car began to move.

As seconds turned to minutes Fearah ignored the music in her ears as she thought up a story, having settled on her not having a sister and being seperated she was now left with why she was on the island. Then she remembered the hunters that had captured Ziggy for the briefest of moments, food, that was what she was there for. If they were set up to hunt then there was surely game on the island. She could have simply seen something worth hunting on the banks and crossed in search of it. Fearah nodded gently as she began working the details out in her mind.

Moments later she felt herself being lifted from the car before led through a series of doorways. From the hardness of the floor beneath her feet she guessed it was a concrete building, or at least had concrete floors. 'A police station?' she asked herself as she felt a bar pass by her arm before she was forced into a chair.

"mmmphf?"(Hello?) she asked to the air, but nothing happened. Fearah sat in silence for what felt like an hour before finally she felt the earphones lift off her head quickly followed by the gag and blindfold. Before her stood the leader of the group she had been captured by. No longer in his battle dress Fearah looked at the man and waited for him to talk, speaking first was probably a bad move here.

"It's alright, I don't blame you." Fearah said quietly, trying her best to mimic her sister.

"I'm Fearah sir.. what brought me here? uh.. Food..." She said in a low tone when she heard the man ask what she was doing. Looking up at her Fearah thought about her family to make herself sad. A tear formed in her eye as she looked to the mans face. "I was with a group west of here until a few days ago. We were hit by a horde and I.. Was the only one that escaped. I was following the river because my dad said there was a town nearby that might still have supplies. I didn't know where it was except somewhere near water so I stayed on the water." Fearah said downtrodden and sad. Who knew drama classes would pay off in the apocalypse? "I saw a.. Boar drinking from the river and decided to try and kill it. I missed my shot though and it ran back into the woods." Fearah's stomach growled, it wasn't a lie that she was hungry, Having not eaten since that morning it was starting to effect her. "I crossed the river with an old boat I found in a building on the mainland and chased it through the woods. Then I saw the town. I was going to investigate when you guys showed up. I'm sorry if I intruded on your hunting grounds, I didn't mean to." she said feeling the tear drip down her face.
