Mallory's words on her mind as she looked among her friends Ayita thought on what bringing them with her and Ziggy when they left would mean, Larger groups were always a larger target but on the other side of that same coin Ayita had come to learn that their was strength in numbers as well. Taking a measured breath Ayita looked to the window towards the building her girlfriend had left for minutes before, the tinge of loneliness still tugging at her heart she had to look away, she'd be back soon but being apart was always hard, especially when she had something on her mind that she wanted to get off.
"Where would you guys go anyway?" Cam asked. "I mean, I know you two's are gonna be helpin Blondie find her mom and pops but you guys planning to go places after that?" She asked
Letting her gaze fall on Cam Ayita listened quietly at what she asked, she knew she'd have to bring the idea up with them at some point, and seeing as Ziggy isn't around at the moment she figured it was as good of a time as any. Looking back to the window she kept her eyes on the building across the way as she spoke. "Yea.. Well, I want to anyway." She started. "Ziggy's from a town in Germany, she's got a sister, a father, and friends that she cares about. She hides it but I can see it in her eyes when she talks about them that she misses them and still worries about their well being."
Crossing her legs Cam tilted her head towards Ayita as she listened to what she was saying, she spoke about a side of Zigs she nor any of the rest of them had seen, a side that she only showed to people dear to her, like Ayita for example. "What town?" Cam asked.
Looking back to her friends Ayita let her gaze settle on Cam and smiled. " Aachen, from what I understand it's a town to the west of Cologne." Ayita explained.
"Germany huh? How you planning on getting there?" Cam asked.
"By boat. I asked Mallory about having someone teach us how to pilot a sea worthy sail boat when I get better."
"A boat huh?" Cam repeated as she leaned back on the wall and looked to the ceiling. "Wait. Didn't your dad have that old sail boat B?"
"You mean Seaway Jane?" Brody asked.
"Yea, that one. It still around?"
"Uh... I don't know to be honest, I haven't been down to the docks yet."
Listening to the back and forth between Cam and Brody Ayita felt a tinge of hope swell in her heart, They had a teacher, they may have a boat. Now the only thing left was the hard part, Convincing Sieglinde.
Looking away from her two friends as they continued to discuss the matter among themselves Ayita heard as Thomas and Ellie chimed in as well before she let her gaze fall to Sara and the new face among them, Laura was her name if Ayita wasn't mistaken, The same Laura that had fought and lost against Sara back in the forest. Staying quiet as she heard the girl begin to explain herself Ayita soon let a small smile form on her features. Her gaze falling to the vase in her hands Ayita's smiled widened when she heard her explain nervously, admitting that she had stolen the flowers from her neighbors garden brought a soft chuckle to Ayita's lips.
"Why are you so nervous?" Ayita spoke gently.
"Why? Uh.. I mean.. I was Sara's bully back in the day... and you and Ziggy are like.. Her, Sisters now... And you guys are scary tough." Laura stammered out.
Opening her mouth to answer Ayita stopped as Sara beat her to the punch, saying that of course she was welcome. Closing her mouth again Ayita nodded. "Come here." Ayita said softly.
Watching as Luara Gingerly approached her Ayita reached out and took the girls hand. "What's in the past doesn't matter, Never cling to things that have happened, look at the present, the people around you, the surroundings. Enjoy the sounds of friendship, the sounds of nature. Enjoy the present and stay hopeful for the future." Ayita said before pulling her into a gentle friendly hug.
Releasing her from the hug Ayita let the smile stay on her face as Laura righted herself. Getting up she asked if they wanted her to go grab snacks for the movie night they would be having once Ziggy returned, Not seeing any issue with it Ayita looked to the rest for what they wanted,
"Sounds good with me." Brody answered.
"Yea! More Snacks!" Cam cheered
"Refreshments would be nice yes." Ellie answered, trying her best to not speak in advanced English like she was used to.
Looking back to Laura Ayita smiled at her new friend "Well, There's your answer." She said with a chuckle.
