Leaning back against the wall Eden pressed down on the end of her pen forcing the ball to stop hiding in it's hole. Bringing it to her lips she looked to the ceiling, a plain white tiled ceiling greeted her. 'hm.. What to write, what to write.' She thought for a time. Pulling the pin away she smiled and flipped to the next blank page of her journal and began to write in earnest. Her tongue slightly sticking out of her mouth as she wrote Eden had a slight smile on her face as she recounted the days happenings, The things they had accomplished along with a few mishaps that had arisen. She had a good group of people with her, All of them had their quirks, sure, but they all meant well enough. Jotting down some of the accomplishments for the day, among them being the outer wall nearing completion, Jeanie and Terry making progress on getting the radio in the tech room working again, Athena learning how to use a bow, A particular smile crept on Eden's features at that fact. And a number of other things.
Finishing up Eden slid the journal back under her cot and retracted the pen before placing it on her bedside table. Stretching her arms to the ceiling she yawned heavily before shifting her weight to get comfortable. The cots they had weren't the best, but they were a far stretch from sleeping on the floor. Closing her eyes Eden yawned again, the things she needed to do tomorrow fresh on her mind as sleep overtook her.
Waking up to a rising sun peaking through the nearby row of windows Eden smiled before stretching her arms out. Bringing them back in she rubbed the sleep from her eyes and sat up on the cot. Across from her was her younger sister Athena who still slept peacefully, The kids didn't have anything to work on other than themselves for the most part so Eden just chuckled to herself and got out of bed to get dressed. Dressing herself in a red button up shirt and a blue pair of jeans she soon made her way to Athena's bed and kissed her cheek. "I'll see you in a bit my little warrior princess." She said with a smile before turning to the door. First on the agenda was making sure everyone was awake, then the wall. Getting the walls done was paramount to them keeping the place going and this was a fact that wasn't ever lost on Eden; And, in turn, not lost on anyone else.
Rounding the corner to the first room occupied by Donell Eden leaned against the door to see if he was already awake, of course he wasn't. Shaking her head as she pushed off the wall Eden crossed to the boys bed and shook him awake.
"Wha-" Donnell moaned in a sleep filled tone of voice. "Five more..."
"No. We gotta get the wall finished, you can sleep after." Eden said crossing her arms.
"The wall?" Donnell questioned, still half asleep.
"Yes. You know, The one you and Frankie started yesterday? Good job on what you did get done though." Eden responded in a flat tone.
"Oh.. Yea... Okay..." Donnell answered with a yawn. "Okay, okay.. Give me a sec.. I'm up."
Giving the boy a 'Mmmhmm' raise of her eyebrow Eden shrugged, It was always a challenge to get Donnell up in the mornings, that was something she learned early on, back when they first met. That and the fact he wanted to try and woo every girl he met, badly she might add. Shaking her head one last time she decided to give him a little more time. Stepping back to the door she closed it behind her and made her way back down the hall towards the other makeshift bedrooms, First was Frankie, who to a happy surprise was already up and around. Closing the door behind her she then made the rounds to a few others before finally reaching the end of the hall to the room occupied by their two newest members, Two rather smart yet clumsy teens named Jeanie and Terry. While they weren't the most amazing at fighting or whatnot they both had amazing minds on them, even better than Eden's in some things.
Reaching their door Eden knocked before opening it, The two were still asleep for the time but alas, that was why she was there. Taking a few steps to Jeanie's bed she gently stirred her awake. "Time to get up you two." She said as she turned to do the same to Terry who slept on the opposite side of the room. Returning to the middle of the room Eden looked between the two of them and smiled. "Good morning you two, sleep well?"
