Back to School

Having tuned out of the conversation that Jeanie and Gwendy were having in the front seat Eden had taken to looking out the left side window passed Terry, the quiet boy was looking down at his notebook at the time she did but it didn't take long for his mind to wander to other things it seemed. glancing at him Eden followed his gaze and quickly came to the realization that he was looking at her tits, Not that she blamed him, he was only a guy after all.

Stealing another few glances in Terry's direction she caught his eye and as quickly as his eyes had met her chest they shot back to the window. Chuckling she placed a hand on his shoulder. Waiting for him to look in her direction she offered a smile and leaned in to whisper in his ear. "I saw you." She whispered. "should probably be a little more sneaky if you want to look at my breasts." She continued with a smirk. "or at least ask me out on a date first. I'd probably say yes you know." She winked. Placing a quick peck on his cheek she pulled away she looked to Donnie making sure he was distracted by the passing scenery, sure that he was she looked back and made eye contact with Terry to give him a look that told him she wasn't teasing, she knew how much Donnie liked to and didn't want this to be taken that way. She did genuinely find him attractive; While he wasn't the best looker around he had the brains, and the brains were what attracted her. She'd have to tell Serina of course but that wouldn't be a problem, She had said early on that what they had was simple fun and that they would stop whenever she wanted. This may be that time, depending on how Terry responded.

Leaning back to the center of the back seat Eden looked to Terry with a smile. "I mean it Terry, If you want to, It'd be my pleasure."

"Want to what there E?" Donnie asked.

"Was I talkin to you Donni?" Eden responded.

"Well, No.. But I just heard yall talkin bout sometin and I got curious. Geez, Don't need to get your panties in a bunch. Sorry okay?" Donnie answered before looking back to the window.

Shaking her head Eden looked back to the notebook in Terry's lap, on the top page he had written a number of things. curious she looked at it for a time which Terry had taken notice of, he hadn't yet given her an answer on the date but she knew that it would come in time. Returning her smile to her face she looked at the notebook. "What's this?" She asked pointing a finger to the page. Looking up at the boy she waited for him to answer and looked back to the notebook when he held it out to her. Reading it she started to understand, they were idea's for weapon mounting on the car, harpoon guns, assault rifles among a few other. "These could work." She started as she pointed to a few of the listed weapons. Machine guns and rifles in particular.  "The harpoon gun though, probably not so much." Looking up to him she offered a smile and placed a hand on his shoulder. "Good idea's though, I'm sure we can work them in somewhere." Discussing it a while longer Terry she felt Donnie nudge her a number of times to try and get her attention, all of which she ignored, Terry had her full attention and she wanted him to know that, Nothing else mattered at the moment except him.

Terry's heart was racing and his palms were slightly sweaty as he felt Eden's hand on her shoulder. "Oh man I got caught! Stupid Terry stupid!" thought Terry to himself. As he heard her responses at first he closed his eyes tightly expecting an ass whooping but her next response was something he never expect. "Asking her out on a date is she for real!?" thought Terry to himself. Soon he got a quick peak on the cheek and he turned to look at her with a smirk thinking that she was joking but when he saw the look on her face he could see that she wasn't joking. When he heard her say that it would be her pleasure he shook his head as he looked to her. "O-Oh no the pleasure is all mine." said Terry softly and nervously at first but he cleared his throat and took a deep breath looking away from Eden for a moment before turning back to her when she was done talking with Donnie. "It would be an honor and a privilege to take you out on a date." said Terry with more confidence in his voice but he said it softly as he didn't want anyone to overhear him.

When she asked about the page on the notebook. "Oh I was thinking about what weapons we could mount on this car. I was thinking what guns we could find at the base but also now that I think about it we could have like a battering ram build in the front of the car. For example like snow plow trucks." said Terry as he looked at Eden. When she complimented him on his ideas and he felt a hand on his shoulder he smiled as he looked into her eyes. "You have a cute smile." said Terry to Eden. Inside he was freaking out his heart was pounding. "Should I make a move here and now?" thought Terry but he quickly put that idea to rest. He had never kissed a girl before let alone go on a date. Soon the care came to a halt at the gate and Terry stepped from his side and Donnie stepped out from his side. Terry held out his hand for Eden as he waited to help her out of the car. It was the gentleman thing to do after all if anything that's what his dad taught him always be respectful around the ladies.

Having arrived at the base Eden watched the approaching fences with a small sense of accomplishment, While their task wasn't completed it felt as if part of it was. The first step was getting there and seeing the fence coming ever closer with each passing second meant that they had reached that goal. Waiting for the car to come to a stop Eden looked first to Donni who practically jumped from the car. Chuckling Eden shook her head before looking to Terry, who, like the true gentleman she had a feeling he could be offered her his hand to get out the car. Smiling at him she took his hand and exited the car. Getting to her feet Eden brushed herself off before locking eyes with Terry, her smile soft she nodded. "Such a gentleman." she commented. Turning away from him to look at their next challenge Eden then heard Terry say that her smile was cute, she could tell by the way he said it that he was nervous. Looking to the rest to make sure they were distracted she looked back to him and let the aforementioned smile return to her face. "Thank you Handsome." she whispered before placing another quick peck on his cheek.

Straightening out Eden straightened herself out again and looked to the fence, From the looks of it Jeanie and the others, or just Jeanie more than likely going by how Donnie tended to go about lending a hand, had managed to make considerable progress. Walking up to join the rest of them she motioned for Terry to follow suit, coming to stand near Jeanie she heard the three of them discussing how to open the gate since the buttons were long since out of service. "What about the security box?" Eden suggested motioning towards the small single roomed building to the side of the gate. Her soft smile finding it's way to her features when she heard Jeanie begin to have another break through Eden watched on as Gwendy made her way to the box and began investigating. Staying quiet Eden observed and waited for what they found. Minutes later Jeanie and Gwendy had found a set of keys and from the sounds of it they had their way in. A few more minutes more and that thought came true as the gate slid open. "Good job guys." Eden greeted the two girls as they made their way back to rejoin them. Hearing Jeanie ask if someone could pull the car up as they figured out how to lower their next obstacle Eden nodded and turned back to Terry, "Terry and I can do that, You guys try to figure out how to get that thing down okay?" She said, Turning back towards the car she took Terry's hand and led him back to the vehicle, Opening the passenger side gate she handed him the keys. "You drive okay?" She said with her 'cute' smile.

Getting in the car Eden felt a shiver down her spine, the kind of shiver you got when you were being watched. Quickly shaking it away she turned back to Terry, " Let's get the show on the road." She said, her smile never leaving her features all the while.

Terry stayed quiet for most of the time while the others were looking at the gate his heart was racing for the first time in a long time and it wasn't because of the dead or someone attacking them. It was because of Eden and it felt good. He never went on a date ever because well he had low self confidence and he never picked up on any hints if they were ever dropped to him. As she called him "handsome" and gave him another quick peak on the cheek he smiled and he followed Eden to the others who were still working on the gate. But it seemed like Jeanie and Gwendy got it working when asked if someone could bring in the car he was volunteered by Eden who took his hand and led him to the car. Once inside she handed him the keys and he start it up. His hands were slightly shaking as he was nervous because he had not driven a car in so long not since arriving in Maine. "Sorry don't mean to be nervous it's just I haven't touch a car since me and Jeanie drove my brother's car. It just feels different." said Terry softly to Eden. Seeing her smile though made him feel relaxed and he drove the car in slowly. Once the car was in he drove it off to the side and turned off. But he didn't leave he just turned to look at Eden as something had been bothering him about this place. "Something about this place doesn't feel right...Like if you had the keys to this place why leave them where you could easily find them like that office?" asked Terry to Eden. He then shook his head lightly looking away at Eden for a moment deciding to change the topic to something more delightful. "So I was thinking when we get back how about we...Have dinner?" asked Terry softly as he looked at Eden as he was trying to boost the mood up if possible.

Having taken the passengers seat allowing Terry to pull their car passed the gates and up to the Bollard Eden could tell he was nervous, the stiff movements he made, the way the car jerked to life the first few times he tried to get it going. Not that she faulted him for any of it, especially after the bombshell she had surely just dropped on him. While she had a crush on the boy she had come to the conclusion early on that it was highly probable that he had very little experience with love, which, in a way had somehow managed to make her crush on him even stronger. Reaching out Eden set her hand gently on Terry's shoulder and gripped it gently as she offered a reassuring smile. "You got this." She said.

A few seconds later her faith in Terry pulled through, having pulled himself together he brought the car through the gate and to a stop before the bollard before looking at her apologizing for her nerves, continuing on he went on to explain that he hadn't touched a car since he and Jeanie had been using his brothers car before arriving and that it just felt different. Shaking her head Eden kept the smile on her face from before. "Don't apologize Terry, you did great." She praised.

Looking to the rest as they continued to fiddle with the Bollard in an attempt to lower their second and hopefully final obstacle before getting into the base proper Eden rolled down her window and stuck her head out. "You guys got it?" She called.

Hearing Eden call from the car Donni looked in the vehicles direction, Not having much to add in the way of input he had taken a backseat roll of watching for the dead while the brains went to work on the stopper keeping their car from entering the base. "Yea. I think so anyway." Donni responded. A few more minutes passed and the brains still worked on trying to get the gate open, his nerves building the more time they were out in the open the feeling was only enhanced by the feeling of being watched that had started a while ago, never able to shake the feeling off he felt a shiver down his spine when a growl sounded from behind the fence. The sound quickly accompanied by the hunger filled eyes of the dead Donni brought his weapon up just as Jeanie had noticed them to. Being further away from the control box as Gwendy however meant that she had gotten their first but as she went to work on the beast a second and third showed their head. Rushing to Gwendy's aid he took out one of the surprise attackers as it lunged towards Gwendy. "Watch'out!" He called with a swing of his bat.

Watching the scene unfold Eden felt her heart begin to race, reaching for the pistol on her hip she flicked open the flap that served to hold the weapon in place as she moved about and began to draw, but shortly her effort proved to be unneeded. Seeing the bodies fall in quick order as Donni and Gwendy took care of them Eden took a breath. The moment passing Eden looked down, her hand had subconsciously found Terry's. "S-Sorry." She said awkwardly pulling it away. Looking to Terry trying to judge how he would respond she was thankful to hear that it didn't effect him negatively, at least she didn't think so, He did however change the subject, which at the time Eden welcomed. Looking back to their friends as they returned to their work Eden listened as Terry began mentioning that something about the base didn't feel right, going on to ask why the keys were just left at the gate. "Well, I'm not knowledgeable on the matter of military but wouldn't the guards in charge of letting people in and out have the keys on them while they're on duty?" She asked. "Could be that they keep a set in the box while they're working and return them when they get off?" Letting the question hang in the air for a time Eden shook from another shiver down her spine. 'okay... Someone is defiantly watching us.. Either that or I'm going insane..'

Watching the group from her perch on the roof of the building Yui gripped the siding and peaked over the ledge, always careful to expose only what she needed to. Taking a breath she held it for a moment before releasing. The sound of gravel underfoot as she shifted her weight Yui watched the group at the gate with interest, Having watched them as they succeeded in opening the gate and pulled their car in she kept her eyes peeled. From the right she saw a group of the dead that had taken notice of them, these too void of the standard military uniform. Was there a group of refugee's that were brought here when everything began falling apart?

"Kiwotsukero!"(Look out; Be careful) She shouted to the air after ducking back behind the ledge of the roof. Deciding it best she crawl her way to the other side before peaking out again Yui was grateful she wasn't greeted by the group being torn limb from limb when she returned to looking at the group, at the same time however that meant she was going to have to be on her guard even more, they may be her age but that didn't mean anything these days, they could be just as ruthless as an adult depending on where they came from. Feeling her stomach growl Yui sighed, Those factors in her mind though there was still the fact that they were her best shot at getting some food in her stomach, and maybe even a roof over her head if the base proved to be cleared of previsions. 

Stiffing the growl from her stomach Yui peeked up again and continued to watch, The group had managed to get the Bollard down and as she watched on she saw one of the figures step out of the control box and wave the couple in the car forward. Her eyes following the vehicle as it rolled forward slowly and bounce over the now lowered Bollard Yui waited to see where they would go from there before making her next move, cautious, steady movements were what she'd have to focus on, staying hidden, staying low, at least for a while. Hopefully they weren't bandits, if they were then she was back to square one. Again.
