Call of the Siren (part 1)

Cassandra went to work as she was assigning people to help with the injured survivors once they reached the medical station in Bar Harbor. "Alright Jane, Scott, Lynn over on this side! I want you three to look over the mom-life threating injuries. Just a simple patch up job and send them home. London, Mike, Gabe I need you three on this side to look over these patents!" said Cassie as she was assigning roles to the people who were experienced in the medical field. When Mallory was brought in she could see that Marlene quickly went over to her side and was looking her over at least that was covered. Cutler was getting stitched up by one of the nurses Jane and as he was shirtless one could see that Jane was admiring his body. "Wow you are so...Wow just-" said Jane before she was cutoff by Cassie who was snapping her fingers. "Finger yourself later focus on your work!" ordered Cassie to Jane who quickly shut up and stitched Cutler's stab wound. She normally was a fun and laidback person but when saving lives were on the line that's when she got serious. 

When Maria showed up with Kinsley and Gabby she didn't know what to do she had basic medical experience but it wasn't gunna prove anything useful in this situation. While Kins and Gabby ran off to do their thing Cassie noticed Maria was in the way and she figured the girl could be useful with babysitting Odessa. "Maria watch Odessa here and stay by her side okay?" asked Cassie to Maria who nodded. Now babysitting was something she could do so Maria sat next to Odessa. Sara ran up to Cassie as she wanted to help out. "Anything I can do?" asked Sara to Cassie. "Well-" said Cassie it was then she was getting called over by Marlene as she needed help in the OR. She then quickly turned to Sara. "Just do what you can Sara!" said Cassie to Sara as she quickly left the girl and headed to the OR with Marlene and Kinsley.

Once Kinsley got the IV in and left. Cassie was scrubbing up next to Marlene as she let out a heavy sigh. "What the fuck...I mean what the hell happened...Jake and Laura went missing." said Cassie annoyed. She shook her head and as she stepped into the OR she left her negative thoughts at the door now was the time to help this girl out. Once Marlene explaine what they were doing Cassie got her gloves on. "It's a beautiful day to save lives." said Cassie to Marlene. "A doctor I used to know said that. Can't remember his name at the moment." said Cassie as she was trying to remember while working on the girl. When asked if she needed any help on her end Cassie shook her head. "I'm all good doctor." said Cassie casually. Once she was done Cassie looked at the girl and shook her head. "Poor girl." said Cassie softly. It was then something clicked in her head. "You think...This girl and Odessa might know each other?" asked Cassie to Marlene.

In the infirmary Maria was guiding Odessa by the hand as she still had her blindfold on. It seemed as if Odessa had taken a liking to Maria. Normally the girl would be all over Cassie like a lost puppy but she seemed content around Maria. It seemed as if Kinsley knew the girl they had brought in but Maria stayed behind with Odessa as she didn't want to intrude on their conversation.

"Wait she said I'm leader for the day?!" asked a surprised Troy to a militia member who nodded. "Uhh...Yeah it was a surprise for us also we thought Mark was gunna-" said the militia member but he stopped himself as he noticed the annoyed look on Troy's face. "B-But hey I'm sure you will make a great leader!" said the militia member as he stumbled on his words thinking he offended Troy. The biker just let out a heavy sigh. "Alright can it. What's on the agenda?" asked Troy to the militia member. "Well I mean besides tightening patrols nothing to much."  said the Militia member to Troy who nodded. "Alright thanks...Now go clean my bike." said Troy to the guard who just laughed as he thought he was joking but he stopped as he noticed Troy's expression had not changed. "O-Oh right away boss!" said the militia member as he quickly left. Troy just smirked and walked started to walk out of medical. "I could get used to this." said Troy to himself with a smirk as he walked out of medical and decided to head towards the gate. It was quite the walk but he didn't mind it. All eyes were on him and this was quite the experience.

Once at the gate he saw militia members tightening the defenses and he nodded. "Alright that's a start. I want four people on watch and if you have to sleep in shifts. These assholes aren't getting us not in our home." said Troy to the militia members who nodded. He turned around to see none other than Ysabel with Rosa and Sophia. The young Hispanic mother rushed over and wrapped her arms around Troy tightly. "I heard what happened from Grant are you okay?!" asked Ysabel worried. Troy nodded to his woman and he looked at his kids with a smile. "Of course I'm good, it's gunna take more than a few arrows to scare me off. Anyway Mal is out of commission and made me leader for the day." said Troy to Ysabel who looked puzzled. "Really? Not Mark?" asked Ysabel to Troy who let out a heavy sigh. "Why does everyone keep saying that?" asked Troy in a slightly annoyed tone. Ysabel just chuckled and shook her head lightly as she kissed Troy. "Just do your best alright? Also me and Callie are doing open mic at the arcade will you be there?" asked Ysabel to Troy who smirked. "Wouldn't miss it for the world." said Troy to Ysabel. The lovers then kissed and Ysabel left with the kids to head home. Troy did some work around the gate and once the rest of the Demon Dogs showed up including Cutler the bikers and the militia members worked together to strengthen the defenses.  

Seeing Thomas, Brody, Ziggy and Sara helping out he walked over to them and as he did Sara quickly walked away. It was quite known now that Sara harbored a deep hate for Troy the biker just simply rolled with the punches but now he was getting tired of it as of late. He just let out a sigh as he saw her walk away. "I need a favor from you guys alright? Thomas and Brody I need you to deliver a message to the Hell-Riders see if Frank will meet us for a sit down and don't worry about Coalport I'll have that covered." said Troy to the two promising soldiers. "I'll have Max and Paco ride with you boys. Just follow their lead and if those Hell-Rider assholes try to get under your skin don't let them." said Troy to the two boys. He started to walk away but as he did he turned to Ziggy. "Might want to head to the arcade...Heard tonight is open mic might be nice to hear some tones." said Troy with a shrug to Ziggy. He really didn't know what to say to her. He felt bad but the last thing he wanted was to send their best sniper out there and something were to happen to her.

He walked away letting the soldiers do their work until he ran into Ayako who was walking around with her sword on her hip. She looked like she belong in an old western but strangely enough she could pull off the look.




"Hey Ayako I need a favor I need to go to Coalport and deliver a message the leader Jack know that we need a sit down to discuss our enemy." said Troy to Ayako. Now Ayako wasn't officially part of the militia she was more or less Claudia's right hand woman but when asked to be apart of it she turned it down instead she became an instructor teaching others the way of the bow and sword like her father. Still though she cared about Claudia deeply and hearing how she got injured she was on guard still though if these Coalport people were allies she would gladly help out. "I'll do it but...Why me? Why not Mark or Jake?" asked Ayako to Troy. "Mark is on watch tonight and Jake...He got kidnapped by the enemy same with Laura." said Troy softly to Ayako. The Japanese woman was surprised and it was a rare expression to see on her face. "I'll have Gabby and Maria go with you." said Troy to Ayako. He then walked away from her and he headed back to Medical where Maria and Gabby where at as was the rest of their gang. "Alright Gabby and Maria you two are going on a little trip. Both of you are heading to Coalport with Ayako to deliver a message to the leader Jack Carver. You guys will taking one of the militia vehicles so move out!" said Troy to the teenagers. Maria looked confused as she looked at Gabby, Kinsley and then back at Troy who was walking away. "Wait why us?" asked Maria to Troy. "Because I'm the fucking boss for the day!" said Troy annoyed as he kept walking away.

Ayako had join the others teens and when she noticed who was driving which was Bridget she didn't complain she just hopped into the passenger seat while the teens were in the back. Maria took the Remington Woodmaster semi-automatic for herself and handed the Remington model 7400 semi-automatic to Ayako who shook her head. "Put it in the back." said Ayako to Maria who nodded. Once everyone was inside they were off to Coalport. Ayako checked her Colt Single Action Army and seeing it was in good condition she put it away. It was silent and that's how Ayako liked it but soon enough Bridget started to mess with the CD player trying to find a song. She smiled as found the song she was looking for. "Alright got some tunes for the road-" said Bridget but she was cutoff as Ayako quickly turned the radio off and shook her head at her. Getting the cold, icy stare from Ayako she didn't want to get on her bad side. Rumors were she was just like Claudia just less vocal. Bridget just let out a heavy sigh as she turned her eyes back on the road. "Or silence works..." mumbled Bridget under her breath. It was then Maria tapped Ayako on the shoulder. "Come on Aya can't we listen to some tunes?" asked Maria to Ayako who let out a heavy sigh. Maria always had a way to break through Ayako's "samurai-demeanor" but Ayako wasn't having it she just shook her head. "No." said Ayako in a calm tone. A few moments of silence went by and Maria spoke up again. "If you guys were stuck on an island and had to listen to one song for the rest of your life what would it be?" asked Maria to the group. "Oh I think for me it would be Beastie Boys-Sabotage. What about you Gabby?" asked Maria to Gabby. Ayako was getting more annoyed by the second she was looking out the window biting her lip. The last thing she wanted to do was yell at the teens for just some quiet. "Do you know that song Ayako?" asked Gabby to Ayako. The Japanese tattoo artist turned to the teens she wanted to yell at them but she just tried to be as polite as possible. "What song?" asked Ayako to Gabby. "Best Of Me by The Starting Line." answered Gabby to Ayako who shook her head. "Oh! Let me play it for you. You'll love it!" said Gabby as she was going through the CDs that they had in the back. It was then Ayako turned to look at Bridget. "Yes Gabby let's hear it. How about that Bridget? Wouldn't that be nice to hear some music?" asked Ayako to Bridget although one could hear the annoyance in her voice. Gabby squealed as she found the CD and handed it to Ayako to put in the CD player.




The music started to play it was pop punk crap...Music that Ayako couldn't stand. Now Gabby was singing to it and Ayako turned to Bridget and leaned to her. "Bridget come here." whispered Ayako to Bridget who leaned in while keeping her eyes on the road. "When we get back to Bar Harbor I'm gunna kill you with my fucking sword. I'm gunna kill you for this." said Ayako greatly annoyed. Bridget just nodded as she had an uncomfortable smile on her face. "That's fair." said Bridget softly and kept her eyes on the road. Now she was hoping they didn't make it back home.

Sara didn't say a word to Troy she let Ziggy do the talking and she had to agree with Ziggy. Having her just sit on her ass and deal with something as open mic night when two of their people were taken? Yeah not on her watch. She left with Ziggy and followed her sister to the designated office for the Special Task Group. As they were about to head there Ziggy stopped and looked at the French girl that was brought in. She listened to Ziggy as she heard her say that the other girl that was brought in must have helped her escape. From the corner of her eye she turned her head as she saw the tongueless girl with Cassie and it made her think for a moment. 'Maybe we can get her to talk?' thought Sara. It was then they were off to the office and once finally reaching it Sara walked with Ziggy to the wall crossing her arms as she heard her speak. When asked if Sara knew of any historical places or lore the Mexican girl just let out a heavy sigh and reached out towards the map. Her fingers lightly tracing some areas and then it was as if a lightbulb went off in her head and she quickly grabbed a marker. "Okay if we were here and the girls came out here with the attackers behind them then..." said Sara to herself as she was drawing arrows to two locations. 




"Okay so what we have here is The Ovens, a sort of tourist attraction for people who liked caves. But also a few miles away is Cathedral Rock a historical landmark." said Sara to Ziggy. She rushed over to the books they had on the bookshelf and the nerd began to look for the one she wanted. "No, no, not that one." said Sara to herself as she was looking through the books but then she found it and quickly rushed back to Ziggy searching through the pages.




"This here is Catheral Rock, another historical landmark like The Ovens. Now if we are talking about places and not caves then...I guess...Shore Acres but that's a maybe. I mean look for all we know let's just assume they are hold up in caves right now or possible the forest..." said Sara. She sat down in the chair shaking her head as she looked at Ziggy. "Our best best would be to go back to where the attack happened and see if we can track them from there. But if we do that we are going to need people who can track." said Sara to Ziggy. "I mean I know Ayako can track and I'm assuming her father does because well he taught her how to hunt. Maybe Mark he was military. I know my dad can track he used to go hunting with a few of the deputies." suggested Sara to Ziggy if she wanted to bring any of them in. She then let out a heavy sigh. "Do you wanna grab a beer after this?" asked Sara to Ziggy.

Finally the ride to Coalport came to an end and the horrible music had stopped. When Bridget made the comment that Ayako would get naked for the right price the Japanese woman just flicked her thumb on the guard exposing some of her katana. Ayako was one to keep good on her promises. "Watashi o tesuto shinaide kudasai. (Do not test me)" said Ayako in Japanese to Bridget.




Luckily Bridget didn't test her luck and soon they were driving into Coalport. She had heard stories from the milita about Coalport soldiers and how they were at the dam but it seemed as if Jack was more strict than Mallory. Hell people in the jumpsuits couldn't even look at them. When they got out of the car Bridget told the teens to wait here and not wonder around. Ayako just looked at the teens and with the look she was giving off she hoped that they wouldn't cross her. Now the two adults were off to find Jack. She followed behind Bridget and she saw the soldier was beamed with joy as she ran into her boytoy Nathan. She ran up and wrapped her arms around him and he was all smiles as well.



"Hello gorgeous." said Nathan as he hugged Bridget. It seemed the hug lasted a lot long than normal at least for Ayako but than again she wasn't much of a hugger. Once the lovebirds let go of each other. Bridget planted a kiss on Nathan. "So what brings you to Coalport?" asked Nathan to Bridget and that's when he noticed the Japanese woman behind her. "Well it's urgent business but I would like for you to be there when I tell him the news. Could you show us to him?" asked Bridget to Nathan who nodded. "Of course hun. Please follow me." said Nathan to Bridget and the Japanese woman. Along the way they passed by the clinic seeing a man in dark green scrubs with a dog next to him and a woman that had weird hair. Ayako slightly smirked it made her think that if Claudia were here she would have that woman eating the dirt by now. But still they passed by many soldiers along the way and eventually Ayako saw what could only be describe as the headquarters of Coalport.





Ayako was somewhat impressed with this and she looked up to even see snipers on the roof but she kept her guard up she was in unknown territory after all. Spencer one of the soldiers was setting up some of the sandbags when he noticed Nathan with the girls. "Whoa, whoa hold the goddam enchiladas!" said Spencer loudly as he held up his hand for Nathan and the girls to stop. "The hell are they doing here? They are suppose to be met at the gate." asked Spencer to Nathan in a serious tone. The British man wasn't gunna back down from this ginger asshole. "It's urgent now if you excuse us-" said Nathan to Spencer as he tried to walk past him but he was grabbed on his left arm. When Ayako saw this she slowly moved her hand on her sword's sheath not drawing it out but it was a precaution. "Just because you are having fun with this blond bitch here doesn't mean I won't knock you on your ass for disobeying orders." said Spencer in a low tone to Nathan.




The two men stared down one another that was until Jack's second in command stepped in. "We got a problem here boys?" asked Ryan to the two soldiers both of them look at him and Spencer let go of Nathan. "No sir." said both men in unison. Ryan came down from the steps of the building and looked at the girls before looking at Nathan. "What's this?" asked Ryan to Nathan who cleared his throat before speaking. "They need to meet with Jack...It's an urgent matter." said Nathan to Ryan who looked at the blond girl and the Japanese woman. "Alright follow me." said Ryan to the three. They were just about to walk in when Ryan stopped them at the door. "Almost forgot need to leave your weapons here." said Ryan to the women. Bridget looked at Nathan and he nodded to her to follow his orders. "Well orders are orders after all." said Bridget to Ryan. She handed over what weapons she had while Ayako on the other hand was hesitant about it. "Ayako please." said Bridget to her softly. The Japanese woman let out a sigh and handed over her bow, katana and revolver to a nearby guard.

Once inside soldiers were working and running around, going on about their business and finally they had reached Jack's office. "Wait here." said Ryan to the girls as he and Nathan entered Jack's office. Within a few minutes Nathan opened the door. "Come on in." said Nathan to the women.

After discussing with Ziggy the plan it seemed as if the best course of action was to talk to Odessa. She went to the door and just before Ziggy grabbed the handle someone from the outside opened it. Being greeted by Aubrey and Blake was a pleasant sight to say the least, even if right now all she could think of was Laura and Jake. After being hugged by the British girl Sara gave her a tap on the shoulder indicating to be let go. Aubrey asked wither it was the people from Wisconsin but Ziggy shut that down saying it could have been an expedition but soon they were told of the plan which was to talk to Odessa who had clung to Cassandra like a newborn baby wanting to feed. When asked wither if they should distract Cassie or simply ask her to talk to the girl Sara crossed her arms thinking for a moment.




"I believe a distraction is in order, if we tell Nurse Playboy of talking to Odessa and she rejects it then she will be on guard all the night. The best thing to do would be to distract her while one of us pulls Odessa away. Now she has a fear of men so Blake you won't go near her but if you distract Cassie we could get Odessa. She wears a blindfold in medical so all we have to do is act like a nurse pull her in a room and hopefully we can get her to talk. If not...Then we make her talk...Well at least write it out but you guys get my point." said Sara to her friends. 

"So Blake you need to go to medical with an injury a minor one but I want you to act the hell out of it and Aubrey you'll be lookout if she gets to close distract her. So suggestions or questions?" asked Sara to her friends.
