Ziggy smiled. A distraction it was then, and Blake was going to be it. But Sara suggested he needed a real injury. Ziggy looked at the blonde hunk of a man and put her sleeves up, cracking her knuckles. She liked Blake plenty but if someone was going to hurt him it should most definitely be a friend.
"Okay, hold still Blake!" Ziggy said. "I'll make this as painless as possible!"
"Not so fast Krüger!" Blake answered as he grabbed Ziggy's hand. Ziggy raised an eyebrow at him. "Oh?" she asked.
"An injury will just have her tell one of the medics to take care of it!" Blake continued. "If I go in with a painful stomach ache instead, she's more likely to go into full investigation mode herself, don't ya think?"
"That... actually makes sense!" Aubrey answered. "Good thinking Blake!"
Jake grinned at Ziggy. "Sorry to spoil your fun Krüger!"
Ziggy just shrugged. "Next time then!"
"There's going to be a next time?"
Ziggy then led everyone outside, locking the door of the office. The other key was with Kinsley, and she was in Coalport with her friends. Then, they went to the clinic and passed Claudia on the way out. Their lieutenant seemed to be on a mission of herself though. Aubrey looked through the windows of the clinic doors and noticed Mallory was up as well.
"Shit! Mallory!" Aubrey cursed. "We totally forgot about her!"
"Well... technically she only said not to speak to Paul's granddaughter right?" Ziggy said. "Still, we might want to get her attention away from Odessa as well."
Going behind Cassandra's back was one thing, but going behind Mallory's was another. Ziggy actually had a bond with their leader, who had been nothing but kind to her since they first met. And suggesting to distract Mallory too left a foul taste in her mouth. But then again, she might not say anything about interrogating Odessa though.
"Okay Blake, do your thing!" Ziggy said. "Here, lean on us! Ready?"
Blake leaned on Ziggy and Aubrey and gave her a nod that he was ready. Ziggy kicked the door of the clinic open and started dragging Blake inside.
"WE NEED HELP HERE!" Ziggy shouted. "HE'S HURTING BAD!"
One of the medics immediately came running. "What's wrong with him!?" she asked.
"He started having bad stomach aches after lunch!" Ziggy answered. "Maybe ate some bad fish or something? Or something got stuck in there and it started bleeding!?"
"Bring him to that bed over there!" the medic answered. "Nurse Cassie! Got an urgent one!"
"Oh pain! Oh agony-y-y!" Blake moaned. It seemed a bit over the top though.
"Dial it down a notch Blake!" Ziggy spoke through her teeth. "We said act like you're in pain, not like a Looney Tune!"
"Yeah, you've got a stomach ache remember!?" Aubrey spoked in a hushed voice. "Not an anvil to the head!"
Aubrey and Ziggy put Blake on the bed, he squirmed around on it clutching his stomach. Now all they had to do was wait for Cassie to show up so they could grab Odessa and ask her some questions.
