As Ayako and Toshiro walked through the forest along the way they nabbed a few squirrels but still their goal was to visit Kenji's grave. He was buried far away from the community and was the only buried from Big Dick's group as far as she knew. After walking for about thirty minutes the pair arrived at Kenji's grave. As they did Ayako put down her bow and sat in front of his grave with Toshiro next to her. He placed a hand on his grave and let out a deep sigh, Ayako closed her eyes and began to pray but her prayer was interrupted when Toshiro spoke up. "I miss him every day. I remember the last day we saw each other was the day he joined Richard's forces. He did it out of anger just to get back at me. I was never a good father to him. I always pushed him to do his best and even then I pushed him more. It's my fault Kenji's dead." said Toshiro as his voice started to break.
Ayako looked to her father and wrapped her arms around him. "It's not your fault father he made his choice." said Ayako softly. Ayako cleared her throat as she could feel a mixture of emotions coming up. "I remember when we were kids Kenji always protected me. He said it's what an older brother is suppose to do. Those were much simpler times." said Ayako. She couldn't hide it anymore and she broke down as she looked at Kenji's grave. "Kenji-san, I forgive you for all the pain that happened between us. I wish I could bring you back now and heal our relationship. You were my blood, you were my family and yet even though I was the one to end you just know I still love you no matter how much it hurts my heart. I miss you so much...I miss you so much Kenji." said Ayako in Japanese as tears came down her face.
The duo stayed there for a few moments before getting up and leaving. As they left Ayako turn back and looked at Kenji's grave one last time and then headed back to Bar Harbor with her father Toshiro.
