Justin ran his fingers through his hair, his mind flooded with worry and sadness as the news came to be fully understood to him. Someone had taken Kelly. His weight fell to the nearby wall, his face defeated as she grasped for any sense of what he should do. He looked to Alex, her face reading concern as she took some deep breaths, Justin did the same. "What do we do?" he repeated as he managed to push himself back to his feet. Shortly Alex provided an answer. Listening to what she had to say Justin nodded as he tried to swallow the pain he felt in his chest, "Right, Got it. I'll see what I can do." He answered before going quiet as she began to speak to Sarah about how they were going to go out together and do some scouting. Watching on it wasn't long before the two of them turned to leave but before they could Justin Caught Alex's arm and pulled her into a passionate kiss. Lingering on it for a moment he released her from the kiss and spoke. "I love you Val. Go get her back." And with that he watched the two disappear down the stairwell and out of sight.
Taking a deep breath he took a moment to steady his thoughts and his breathing before he waved Fearah over from through the door. "Alex and Sarah went to figure out where Kelly was taken. We.. We need to figure out if these guys know who might have done it, do you mind playing along with the whole family thing a while longer?" He asked, a look of concern still on his face.
"No problem pops. I got your back." Fearah said with a wink and a hit on his arm. A tinge of sadness crossing her mind at the mans words of Kelly she was as determined as ever to do whatever she could to help figure out where her sudo sister had been taken.
"Thank you." Justin said placing a hand on her shoulder. Standing up they both made there way back into the room, as they did the man of the family eyed them both, "Everything alright?" The man asked, Justin let his gaze fall on the man and his family. "We had our third daughter, Krista, Waiting in our home on wheels to watch it for us. The other one was watching our rear from the tree's, she just came and told us that someone has taken Krista from our car."
The man's face went sullen as the wife had the look of sadness about her. "Do you know anything that could help?" Justin asked as he watched their faces.
"Alac and his gang." The man spoke with an air of concern. "They're traders from the nearby town, known all around these parts. But what they trade, isn't goods." the man elaborated "If he took your kid, you'd be better off just forgitten you had a kid in the first place." The man's words struck Justin like knives. "Don't say that Dan.." The wife responded to his words, "What if it was one of us? You know that's been one of our fears for the longest time." She added.
As the duo continued there bickering Justin could feel the annoyance and desperation begin to build, He took a deep breath. "Where is this Alac held up?" Justin nearly growled at the duo, his reserve wavering he clinched a fist as he waited for an answer.
"There's a town.. About five miles east of here. That's where he would have taken your kid. I'm telling you though sir, they got that place locked down tight, you're gonna have to have the military to get in there."
Justin chuckled at the man's words 'Good thing we got just that in some sense of the word' He thought as he forced a smile. "Is that right? well, I'm sure we'll work something out." Justin's words carried an air of confidence when it came to their abilities. "Thank you for being helpful." He then said with a nod, "What happened here?" He then asked, allowing the group to begin to tell their story. As they went about it Justin listened intently as did Fearah.
"We found this place about five months ago, our group was fairly big at the time, about fifteen strong. We were tired of traveling and decided to look for a place to call home, this place seemed perfect, hell, it would still be perfect if it wasn't for that damn kid.." The man began, "Dear.. It's in the past." The wife spoke as the man's face contorted in anger and his fist came to land hard on the wood floor of the second story bedroom. "A walker got in and ruined it all." The wife finished the man's sentence. "When everyone started turning we ran up here and hid, that was about a week ago. We thought we were gonna die of starvation up here but then, you folks showed up."
The man straightened his shirt as he seemed to regain his composure. "What about you people? Take the fact that they targeted you that you ain't part of Alac's gang so who are ya?" the man pressed. "Well." Justin started. "I'm Jackson, The woman that was here before here is my wife of six years, her name is Valentina, everyone calls her Val." He began to weave his false backstory with confidence. "Like you we were lookin for a place to hold up for a time." Not willing to share any more unless they asked for it Justin let a hand come to fist as he took a deep breath to steady himself as the worry crept up on him again. "We were gonna be training our youngest to protect herself, of course she's the one that gets taken though..." He added under his breath, annoyed more at himself for not teaching her sooner than anything he waited for two things after that, any other questions or words from the group and for his radio to crackle to life.
"I'm Dan." The man started. "This is my wife Danise and our children Danny and Darsie." The man spoke as a hand found it's way to each person drawing attention to them as he introduced them. "So you're Jackson, your wife is Valentina, This little lady is Alica. What are the other two?" The man asked.
"Yes sir, This is Alica, Our other two are named Athena and Krista, Krista being the youngest."
"Athena's my twin." Fearah chimed in with an air of happiness in her voice.
"I see, Well. Nice to meet you all." The wife greeted with a forced smile. As the group fell silent Justin looked back at his Radio. 'Please find her..' He thought.
